   #1. This week's number one is an international center Sandrine Gruda (193-87, currently plays in Russia). She was the major contributor in an UMMC Ekaterinburg's victory against the sixth-ranked Vologda-Chevakata (6-8) 77-64 in the Russian PBL in Sunday night's game. Gruda scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 23 minutes on the court. UMMC Ekaterinburg (12-1) is placed first in the PBL. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Gruda's sixth season with the team. She belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #7 with 13.8ppg. Gruda also averaged so far 6.2rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 52.2% and FT: 72.6% in the 12 games she played so far. She is currently a member of the French senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international power forward Nicole Antibe (187-74, currently plays in Italy). Antibe led Taranto to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Cagliari CUS (2-12) crushing them 86-60 in the Italian A1 last Sunday. She was MVP of the game. Antibe scored 26 points (!!!). Goldbet Taranto (10-4) is placed fourth in the A1. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Antibe has relatively good stats this season: 10.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 61.5%(67-109), 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 71.9%. She played for the French national team in 2005.

   #3. The French player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui (190-86, currently plays in Euroleague). Yacoubou-Dehoui contributed to a Spartak Vidnoye's victory against the fourth-ranked Rivas Ecopolis (6-6) 72-61 in the Euroleague on Wednesday night. She scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 24 minutes. Spartak Vidnoe Moscow Region (10-2) is placed first in group A. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. It's Yacoubou-Dehoui's first season with the team. This year Yacoubou-Dehoui averages: 9.8ppg, 6.5rpg, 2FGP: 54.0% and FT: 59.0% in the 12 games. She is also a member of the French senior national team.

Forward Jessica Clemencon (188-89, currently plays in Canada) was the main contributor in an University of Windsor's victory against the Thunderwolves (13-6) crushing them 81-57 in the Canadian university league CIS last Saturday. She was the best player in that game. Clemencon had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 11 rebounds in 31 minutes. The University of Windsor has a very solid 15-4 record this season. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Clemencon is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her fourth year in University of Windsor's roster. She is ranked eighth on the list of the top scorers in the league with 18.0ppg. This year Clemencon also averages: 7.3rpg, 1.4apg, 1.6bpg and 1.4spg in the 19 games. She used to play for the French U20 national team back in 2009.

   #5. International center Elodie Godin (191-85, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Italy could not help Familia Schio (7-5) to beat Fenerbahce (9-3). Godin did not beat the league record on Wednesday evening. She scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The fourth-placed Familia Schio was defeated 82-68 on the road by the second-ranked Fenerbahce in the group B of Euroleague. It was Familia Schio's third consecutive loss in a row. Godin's team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. Godin is ranked second on the list of the best blockers in the league. Her overall stats this season are: 5.8ppg, 8.0rpg, 2.0apg, 1.4bpg and 1.6spg. Godin plays currently for the French national team.

   #6. Point guard Onayssa Sbahi (168-93, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) was not able to help Cortegada (11-2) in their last game. Despite her good performance Cortegada lost 45-58 in Vigo to the lower-ranked (#6) Real Celta in the Group A. Sbahi was the second best scorer with 10 points. She also added 5 rebounds in 31 minutes. This year Sbahi's overall stats are: 5.4ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.3apg in the 13 games. She is a former U18 international player as she played for the French team two years ago.

Former U20 international point guard Lucie Bouthors (174-88, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Antakya (7-11) in their game against Tarsus Bld (12-6) in the Turkish TKBL. Bouthors scored 8 points. Antakya was defeated 69-64 in Mersin by the higher-ranked Tarsus Bld (#5). It was Antakya's fifth consecutive loss in a row. Bouthors' total stats this season are: 3.9ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.4apg. She used to play for the French U20 national team five years ago.

Guard Audrey Salvi (172-89, currently plays in Belgium) managed to help Belfius Namur Capitale to win against the closely-ranked BBC Kangoeroes-Boom (15-2) 76-65 in the Belgian Division I last Saturday. Salvi scored only 1 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Belfius Namur Capitale (15-2) is placed first in the Division I. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Salvi's total stats this season are: 7.8ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.7apg. She used to play for the French U20 national team back in 2009.

   #9. Former U20 international forward Chloe Westelynck (188-91, currently plays in Belgium) couldn't help R.Spirou Monceau (5-12) in their game against Blue Cats (3-14) in the Belgian Division I. Westelynck scored only 4 points in 27 minutes. R.Spirou Monceau was edged 74-73 in Ieper by the one of league's weakest teams (#11) Blue Cats. It was R.Spirou Monceau's tenth consecutive loss in a row. This year Westelynck's total stats are: 8.1ppg and 5.0rpg in the 15 games. She used to play for the French U20 national team two years ago.


The list of other players, who all have French passport but never been selected to any of French national teams:

   #1. Valerie Labbe (181-G/F-88, currently plays in Belgium) led Castors Braine to a victory over the closely-ranked Basket Groot (8-6) 72-62 in the Belgian Division I in Saturday night's game. Labbe was the best player in that game. She scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Castors Braine (11-7) is placed sixth in the Division I. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Labbe has relatively solid stats: 10.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg.

   #2. Cyrielle Recoura (172-G-91, currently plays in Canada) was the major contributor in a York University's victory against the Queen's (10-10) 77-64 in the Canadian university league CIS on Saturday night. Recoura recorded 16 points and added 6 assists in 33 minutes. The York University has 7-11 record this season. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Recoura has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 15.3ppg, 5.9rpg, 3.5apg and 1.4spg in the 18 games she played so far.

   #3. Karolina Piotrkiewicz (190-C-84, agency: LBM Management, college: Liberty, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian A2 (12th division) could not help Valmadrera (6-14) to beat San Martino (17-3). Piotrkiewicz scored 7 points. Valmadrera (#11) was defeated 69-54 at home by the second-ranked San Martino in the North group. It was Valmadrera's fourth consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Piotrkiewicz is currently seventh on the league's list of best rebounders. She has very reliable stats this season: 10.4ppg and 9.8rpg. Piotrkiewicz has a dual citizenship: Polish and French. Despite her French passport, Piotrkiewicz previously played for the Polish university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the French team.

   #4. Elina Conduche (SF-92, currently plays in Canada) was not able to help the Universite de Quebec a Montral (8-5) in their game against the McGill (9-4) in the Canadian CIS. She was the second best scorer with 9 points in 16 minutes. But the Universite de Quebec a Montral (#3) was badly defeated 72-52 in a derby game by the McGill. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. This year Conduche's total stats are: 2.8ppg and 1.5rpg in the 12 games.

   #5. Juliette Delaune (177-F-91, currently plays in Canada) is a teammate of previously mentioned Elina Conduche and both played together in the last Canadian CIS game. Delaune was not able to secure a victory for the Universite de Quebec a Montral (8-5) in their game against the McGill (9-4). She recorded 8 points. The Universite de Quebec a Montral (#3) was badly defeated 72-52 in a derby game by the McGill. Delaune's total stats this season are: 3.5ppg and 2.2rpg.

   #6. Magaly Meynadier (17-SG-91, currently plays in Luxembourg) was the main contributor in a Musel Pikes' victory against the leader Sparta crushing them 81-56 in the Luxembourg Diekirch League in Friday night's game. She was the top player that evening. Meynadier scored 26 points (!!!), grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 30 minutes. This year Meynadier has relatively solid stats: 13.0ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg in the 16 games. She is another player who holds two passports: French and Luxembourg.

Roche - Avenir 51-56 Avenir beat Roche on the road to even the title series at 1-1. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 34-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Avenir forced 21 Roche turnovers. Point guard Melanie Devaux (170-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. Avenir - Roche 58-69 Roche defeated Avenir to take 1-0 lead in LF2 Finals. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 69-58. Roche dominated on the defensive end, holding Avenir to just 5 points in second quarter. They made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game.
