Boulazac Basket Dordogne (ProA) agreed terms with 30-year old American guard Alex Acker (196-84kg-83, college: Pepperdine). He supposed to play at Asseco Prokom Gdynia in Polish TBL league. In 8 games this season he had 8.1ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.4apg and 1.4spg. Acker also played 9 games in Euroleague where he recorded 6.3ppg and 2.7rpg. The last season he played at Le Mans Sarthe Basket. In 37 ProA games last year he recorded 11.9ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.2apg and 1.7spg. He helped them to make it to the final and cup semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-French ProA Honorable Mention. Acker also played 8 games in Eurocup where he recorded 10.6ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.6apg. In 2005 he was drafted by Detroit Pistons (NBA) in second round (60th overall). The former Pepperdine University standoutis in his eighth season in pro basketball. The list of the past achievements is quite long as he won NBA Central Division championship title in 2006. Acker was also voted WCC Freshman of the Year back in 2003 at his college time. Acker is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Greece, Italy (Armani Milano), Spain (Regal FC Barcelona), NBA (LA Clippers) and D-League (Fayetteville P. and Fort Wayne Mad Ants). On Acker:
