Daviin Davis
American forward Daviin Davis (193-F-85) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Blois, receiving a Eurobasket.com NM1 Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, seven rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Rennes (#15, 4-17) 65-51. Blois maintains the 8th position in French NM1. Blois is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-9 record. In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Blois and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Daviin Davis averages this season 14.0ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old American Jarryd Cole (204-F-88) of La Rochelle. Cole had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he lead La Rochelle to another comfortable win 73-60 over slightly higher-ranked Quimper (#5, 14-6) being unquestionably team leader. La Rochelle's 6th position in has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 13-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Cole is a newcomer at La Rochelle, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.9ppg (#8). He also registered 7.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Latvian swingman Ingus Bankevics (195-G/F-85, agency: Players Group) of St Chamond (#13). Bankevics got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. Despite Bankevics' great performance St Chamond lost 79-90 to the higher-ranked Rueil (#9, 11-10). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of St Chamond not to end season at such low position in , however are less than slim as they have already lost 13 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bankevics could try to bring St Chamond's a little bit higher in the standings. Bankevics has a very solid season. In 19 games in France he scored 13.4ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Nemanja Calasan (205-C-85) of Monaco - 16 points and 10 rebounds
5. Renaud Brocheray (202-F-80) of Orchy - 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Emilien Barbry (188-PG-83) of Orchy - 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Alex Okafor (202-F-87) of Rennes - 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Douglas Tshomba (201-F-83) of Vichy - 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Michel Ipouck (199-F-86) of Chartres - 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Amy M'Boma (199-F/G-83) of La Rochelle - 24 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
