Greer
American-Dominican Rep. swingman Ricardo Greer (197-F/G-78) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Strasbourg, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 34-year old player recorded a triple-double of 16 points addeding also 10 rebounds and 11 assists, while his team beat Chalon (#3, 12-7) 80-65. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Strasbourg maintains the 2nd position in French ProA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Strasbourg will need more victories to improve their 15-5 record. Greer has many years of experience at Strasbourg, through which he has constantly improved. Former University of Pittsburgh star has very solid stats this year. Greer is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 7.7rpg), assists (5th best: 5.1apg) and averages impressive 54.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Ivorian Pape-Philippe Amagou (185-G-85, agency: Beo Basket) of Roanne. Amagou had a very good evening with 23 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course he lead Roanne to another comfortable win 90-77 over the lower-ranked Limoges (#12, 8-11) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Roanne to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Amagou is a newcomer at Roanne, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Dominic James (180-PG-86) of Poitiers (#15). James got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He was a key player of Poitiers, leading his team to a 86-78 win against the higher-ranked ASVEL (#5, 11-9). The chances of Poitiers not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 13 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, James could try to bring Poitiers' a little bit higher in the standings. The season just started for James as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Darryl Monroe (202-C/F-86) of Boulazac - 17 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Bernard King (196-G-81) of Le Havre - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists
6. Louis Campbell (190-PG-79) of Strasbourg - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists
7. Graham Brown (205-C-84) of Le Havre - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Edwin Jackson (191-G-89) of ASVEL - 25 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Brian Greene (204-F-81) of Orleans - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Souleyman Diabate (183-PG-87) of Nancy - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
