Chalons-Reims (ProB) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old French forward Mari Konate (203-88, college: Mc Neese State). He started the season at Naglis Palangos in Lithuanian LKL league. In 9 games he recorded 7.6ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.1spg this season. Konate also played 11 games in Baltic League where he averaged 6.5ppg and 4.6rpg.
His team won Southland Conference East Division Regular Season in 2011. Konate has played previously for another French team Saint-Quentin. He attended Mc Neese State until 2012 and it is his first season in pro basketball.
