Sixteenth-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (4-11) gave a tough game to second ranked JL Bourg (11-4) on Friday. JL Bourg managed to secure only two-point victory 67-65. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 17-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. JL Bourg forced 23 SO Maritime Boulogne turnovers. It was a great evening for American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Meredis Houmounou (188-88) helped adding 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. JL Bourg's coach Savo Vucevic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (204-88) with 13 points and 8 rebounds. JL Bourg have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Provence Basket, which they share with Charleville. SO Maritime Boulogne at the other side dropped to the seventeenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with St Chamond. JL Bourg is looking forward to face league's leader Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SO Maritime Boulogne will play at home against Charleville-Mezieres (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Important game to mention about took place in Denain. Seventh ranked Denain Voltaire (9-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed STB Le Havre (9-6) 56-54 in the fight for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of STB Le Havre. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American guard Terry Tarpey (196-94, college: William & Mary) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Kyle Spain accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds. Denain Voltaire's coach Jean-Christophe Prat allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: Inception Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for STB Le Havre in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Denain Voltaire. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Nantes and Le Havre. Denain Voltaire will play against Aix-Maurienne (#12) in Aix-les-Bains in the next round and are hoping to win another game. STB Le Havre will play on the road against SPO Rouen (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
ProB top team - Provence Basket (13-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Poitiers (6-9) in Fos-sur-Mer 81-63. The best player for the winners was Derrick Obasohan who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Sekou Omar Doumbouya who recorded 16 points. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Provence Basket maintains first place with 13-2 record. Loser Poitiers dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Provence Basket will meet at home league's second-placed JL Bourg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Poitiers will play against Lille Metropole (#7) and hope to secure a win.
A very interesting game took place in Lille. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Lille Metropole (8-7) to ninth ranked ADA Blois (7-8) 97-94 on Friday evening. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a good game for Frank Turner who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 8 assists. ADA Blois maintains ninth place with 7-8 record, which they share with Boulazac. Lille Metropole at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. ADA Blois' next round opponent will be higher ranked JA Vichy (#8) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 15: Evreux lost to Vichy Clermont on the opponent's court 77-91. Boulazac managed to outperform Maurienne in a home game 80-69. Rouen managed to beat St Chamond on the road 84-76. St Quentin was defeated by Charleville on its own court 80-85. Roanne was beaten by Nantes in a road game 84-71.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by Dustin Ware of Vichy Clermont.

Vichy Clermont - Evreux 91-77

Rather expected game when 10th ranked ALM Evreux (6-9) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked JA Vichy (8-7) 91-77. It looked good early as ALM Evreux took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then JA Vichy had a 19-17 second period charge getting the lead and ALM Evreux was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-91. JA Vichy made 27-of-31 charity shots (87.1 percent) during the game, while ALM Evreux only scored eight points from the stripe. 24 personal fouls committed by ALM Evreux helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Dustin Ware (183-90, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. JA Vichy's coach Stephane Dao allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Papa Beye (202-89) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for ALM Evreux. Five JA Vichy and four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. JA Vichy moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lille. ALM Evreux lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. JA Vichy's next round opponent will be ADA Blois (#9) on the road. ALM Evreux will play against Saint Chamond and hope to win that game.

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Boulazac Basket and 11th ranked Aix-Maurienne had identical 6-8 record. This time Boulazac Basket used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Aix-les-Bains 80-69. The game was mostly controlled by Boulazac Basket. Aix-Maurienne was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boulazac Basket made 24-of-26 charity shots (92.3 percent) during the game. Nantes - Roanne 84-71

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Chorale de Roanne (6-9) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Nantes (9-6) 84-71. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Nantes's pressure prevailed and they won that period 21-14 extending their advantage to 13 points. It was a good game for swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. American point guard Kwamain Mitchell (178-89, college: St.Louis) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists for the winners. American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Serbian power forward Alexandre Gavrilovic (208-91, college: Towson) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Chorale de Roanne. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chorale de Roanne's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nantes moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Le Havre and Denain. Chorale de Roanne lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Nantes' next round opponent will be Boulazac Basket (#10) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Chorale de Roanne will play against Saint-Quentin and hope to win that game.

Provence Basket - Poitiers 81-63

ProB top team - Provence Basket (13-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Poitiers (6-9) in Fos-sur-Mer 81-63. The game without a history. Provence Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Provence Basket forced 19 Poitiers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Poitiers' players. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (198-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Raphael Desroses (199-80) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Sekou Omar Doumbouya (202-0) who recorded 16 points and power forward Mickael Var (205-90) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Provence Basket maintains first place with 13-2 record. Loser Poitiers dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Provence Basket will meet at home league's second-placed JL Bourg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Poitiers will play against Lille Metropole (#7) and hope to secure a win.

Sixteenth-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (4-11) gave a tough game to second ranked JL Bourg (11-4) on Friday. JL Bourg managed to secure only two-point victory 67-65. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 17-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. JL Bourg forced 23 SO Maritime Boulogne turnovers. It was a great evening for American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Meredis Houmounou (188-88) helped adding 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. JL Bourg's coach Savo Vucevic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (204-88) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Teddy Gipson (191-80, college: Arkansas, agency: Court Side) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. JL Bourg have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Provence Basket, which they share with Charleville. SO Maritime Boulogne at the other side dropped to the seventeenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with St Chamond. JL Bourg is looking forward to face league's leader Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SO Maritime Boulogne will play at home against Charleville-Mezieres (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

Denain - Le Havre 56-54

Important game to mention about took place in Denain. Seventh ranked Denain Voltaire (9-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed STB Le Havre (9-6) 56-54 in the fight for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of STB Le Havre. It looked good early as STB Le Havre took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Denain Voltaire took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American guard Terry Tarpey (196-94, college: William & Mary) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Kyle Spain (196-87, college: San Diego St., agency: HMS) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Denain Voltaire's coach Jean-Christophe Prat allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: Inception Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for STB Le Havre in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Denain Voltaire. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Nantes and Le Havre. Denain Voltaire will play against Aix-Maurienne (#12) in Aix-les-Bains in the next round and are hoping to win another game. STB Le Havre will play on the road against SPO Rouen (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
