   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Thomas Heurtel (189-89, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Euroleague). He could not help Anadolu Efes (9-11) in their last game. Despite Heurtel's very good performance the ninth-placed Anadolu Efes (9-11) was edged 80-77 on the road by the second-ranked CSKA in the group A of Euroleague. He was the top scorer with 24 points. Heurtel also added 4 passes (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 28 minutes on the court. Heurtel has relatively good stats this year: 13.8ppg, 1.9rpg, 5.3apg, 2FGP: 51.3%, 3FGP: 38.7% and FT: 86.7% in 20 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the French senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Nando De Colo (196-87, currently plays in VTB United League). De Colo led his Russian team CSKA to a victory over the seventh-ranked Astana (6-8) 81-63 in the VTB United League last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. De Colo scored 18 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. CSKA Moscow (13-1) is placed first in the VTB United League. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. De Colo has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 19.7ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.6apg, 2.1spg, 2FGP: 72.7%(32-44), 3FGP: 42.3% and FT: 87.2%. De Colo is in the roster of the French senior national team.

   #3. The French player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international power forward Guerschon Yabusele (201-95, currently plays in China). He was not able to help Shanghai Sharks (25-6) in their last game. Despite Yabusele's very good performance the league leader Shanghai Sharks lost 95-109 in Urumqi to the second-ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige. He was the top scorer with 30 points. Yabusele also added 6 rebounds in 35 minutes. Yabusele has very impressive stats this year: 21.1ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.1apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 62.1%(174-280), 3FGP: 38.1% and FT: 69.3% in 31 games. He played for the French U20 national team two years ago.

   #4. Power forward Adrien Moerman (202-88, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Darussafaka (11-5) in their last game on Monday. Despite Moerman's very good performance Darussafaka was badly defeated 83-66 in Bursa by the lower-ranked Tofas (#10). He was the top scorer with 18 points. Moerman also added 8 rebounds. It's Moerman's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 13.0ppg, 7.4rpg and 2.2apg. Moerman is also French national team player.

International point guard Antoine Diot (193-89, currently plays in EuroCup) was the major contributor in a Valencia Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Unicaja Malaga (3-2) crushing them 86-62 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night. Diot recorded 14 points and had 4 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Valencia Basket (5-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. So far his team won all five games in the Second Stage. They will play only one more game in the Eurocup Second Stage. And that game will be critical. Diot's overall stats this season are: 8.8ppg, 1.6rpg, 4.4apg and 1.6spg. He plays currently for the French national team.

He scored 12 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Causeur averaged so far 10.2ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.2apg. He is also French national team player.

Forward Nobel Boungou-Colo (202-88, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in EuroCup) contributed to a 1-point Khimky's victory against the closely-ranked ratiopharm Ulm (0-5) 85-84 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night. Boungou-Colo recorded 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 28 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BC Khimky Moscow Region (4-1) is placed second in the Eurocup. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Eurocup Second Stage. And now that game is very crucial. Batum also added 7 rebounds and 7 assists. This season Batum has very high stats. He averages: 14.9ppg, 7.4rpg, 6.0apg and 1.1spg. Batum is also in the roster of the French national team.

Guard Leo Westermann (197-92, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to Zalgiris' surprising victory against the second-ranked CSKA (15-5) 79-74 in the Euroleague last Tuesday. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and making the same number of passes in 23 minutes. B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (8-12) is placed 11th in group A. This year Westermann's total stats are: 8.3ppg, 3.4rpg and 5.3apg in 20 games. He is a former international player as two years ago he still played for the French senior national team.

   #11. International center Rudy Gobert (216-92, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Utah Jazz (30-19) in their last game. Despite Gobert's very good performance the Utah Jazz lost 95-102 in Memphis to the Grizzlies. He recorded 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) in 38 minutes. Gobert has very impressive stats this year: 12.8ppg, 12.5rpg and 2.6bpg in 49 games. He plays currently for the French national team.

   #12. U20 international power forward Alpha Kaba (209-96, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) couldn't help Mega Leks (4-10) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Kaba's good performance Mega Leks (#7) was crushed 98-73 on their home court in Sremska Mitrovica by the leading CB Canarias in the group D of Basketball Champions League. He recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 16 rebounds. Kaba averaged so far 10.7ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.2bpg and 1.6spg. He is also in the roster of the French U20 national team.

   #13. Former U20 international forward Amath M'Baye (206-89, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a 1-point Enel Brindisi's victory against the closely-ranked The Flexx PT 86-85 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. M'Baye scored 14 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, passed 4 assists and added 3 blocks in 36 minutes. M'Baye has very impressive stats this year: 19.8ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.6apg and 1.4bpg in 17 games. He used to play for the French U20 national team eight years ago.

   #14. Former international shooting guard Edwin Jackson (190-89, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Spain) was the main contributor in a Movil Estudiantes' victory against one of league's weakest teams Blusens Monbus 81-73 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. Jackson was the best player in that game. He recorded 19 points and added 3 assists in 23 minutes. Jackson has very impressive stats this year: 21.8ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.1apg and 1.2spg in 18 games. He used to play for the French national team back in 2015.

   #15. An experienced international point guard Tony Parker (188-82, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the San Antonio Spurs (37-11) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Parker's very good performance the San Antonio Spurs were defeated 105-101 in Dallas by the Mavericks. He scored 16 points and added 4 assists. This season Parker has very high stats. He averages: 11.2ppg, 2.0rpg and 4.7apg. Parker is also in the roster of the French national team.


The list of other players, who all have French passport but never been selected to any of French national teams:

   #1. Kim Tillie (210-PF-88, college: Utah, currently plays in Euroleague) led his Spanish team Baskonia to a victory against the tenth-ranked FC Barcelona (8-12) 93-79 in the Euroleague last Friday. He scored 13 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 22 minutes. Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz (12-8) is placed sixth in group A. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. This year Tillie's overall stats are: 5.5ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.1apg in 19 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Dutch and French.

   #2. Jordan Semple (201-F-92, college: Chico St., currently plays in Bulgaria) contributed to a 2-point Academik Plovdiv's victory against the sixth-ranked Spartak Pleven (6-8) 90-88 in the Bulgarian NBL on Saturday night. Semple recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 6 assists and 2 blocks; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Semple's second season in pro basketball. Akademik Bulteks 99 Plovdiv (10-4) is placed second in the NBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Semple has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 21.8ppg, 12.1rpg, 3.7apg, 1.7bpg and 1.8spg. Semple is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in France.

   #3. Mattia Udom (200-F-93, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an Angelico Biella's victory against the sixth-ranked Roma Virtus (11-8) 90-86 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Udom recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. Angelico Biella (14-5) is placed first in West group. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Udom averaged so far 11.2ppg and 5.2rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: French and Italian.

   #4. Elishay Kadir (202-PF-87, currently plays in Israel) contributed to a Maccabi Rishon's victory against the closely-ranked Ironi Nahariya (8-9) 97-85 in the Israeli Winner League in Wednesday night's game. He scored 8 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion (9-8) is placed fifth in the Winner League. Kadir has averaged so far 7.7ppg, 6.4rpg and 2.2apg. He has both French and Israeli nationalities.

   #5. Navid Niktash (203-G/F-91, currently plays in United Kingdom) could not help London Lions (10-7) in their last game. Despite Niktash's very good performance London Lions was crushed 98-66 at home by the lower-ranked (#8) Bristol Acadamy Flyers. He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Niktash also added 6 rebounds in 29 minutes. It was London Lions' third consecutive loss in a row. Niktash's stats this year are: 15.0ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.4apg in seven games. He also holds two passports: French and Iranian.

   #6. Anthony Chada (196-G/F-89, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to help Kangoeroes in their game against Limburg United in the Belgian Euromillions League. Chada recorded 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks in 22 minutes. His team was edged 85-84. Chada's stats this year are: 10.4ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.6apg in 16 games. He has French and Belgian nationalities. Despite Chada's French passport, he previously played for the Belgian U18 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the French team.
