Radulovic's 24 points and 9 rebounds give him NM1 Player of the Week award - Feb 9, 2017

Aleksandar
Radulovic
33-year old center Aleksandar Radulovic (207-C-83) put on an amazing game in the last round for Vitre and receives a Eurobasket.com NM1 Player of the Week award for round 22.
He had the game-high 24 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Vitre in his team's victory, helping them to beat Lorient (#17, 8-14) 80-75. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Vitre is placed at 11th position in French NM1. Vitre is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-12 record. In the team's last game Radulovic had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Aleksandar Radulovic averages this season 11.1ppg and 5.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Demarco Cox (203-C-90) of Challans. He is American center in his first season at Challans. In the last game Cox recorded impressive 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Challans lost that game 83-91 to slightly higher-ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (9-13). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Challans dropped in the standings to 14th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-13 record. Cox is a newcomer at Challans and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jerrold Brooks (183-PG-91, agency: Interperformances) of ALS Basket (#8). Brooks showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, six rebounds and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of ALS Basket, leading his team to a 78-69 win against the lower-ranked Rennes (#12, 10-12). ALS Basket needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 11 lost games. Brooks has a great season in France. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Xane d'Almeida (181-PG-83) of Lourdes - 12 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists
5. Steffon Bradford (198-F/C-77) of St Vallier - 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Will Felder (201-F-91) of RAC Basket - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Daviin Davis (193-G/F-85) of Rennes - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Jourdan Demuynck (198-G-90) of Lourdes - 19 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. B.J. Monteiro (196-F/G-90) of Caen - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists
10. Michael Craion (195-F-89) of Lorient - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Joseph Jones
Limoges sign Joseph Jones, ex Azad - 1 day ago
Limoges CSP Elite (ProA) signed 31-year old American power forward Joseph Jones (206-111kg-86, college: Texas A&M). He started the season at Azad in Iranian Superleague. In 17 games he had very impressive stats: 15.2ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.7spg this season. The last season Jones played at CB Canarias in Spanish Liga Endesa where in 28 games he recorded 6.6ppg and 2.8rpg. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Israeli Cup final in 2015. Jo...   [read more]

Myles Hesson and Devon Van Oostrum Suffer Season-Ending Injuries - 1 day ago
Myles Hesson (198-F-90) and Devon Van Oostrum (190-G-93, agency: Octagon Europe) both face long spells on the sidelines after sustaining season-ending injuries. Both players took to social media to make their announcements which will come as a double blow to GB ahead of this summer's EuroBasket tournament. Hesson was having another strong season in France - with a Pro-A career-high 29 points last month - and averaged 12.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game on the season. The forward had als...   [read more]
