The most important game in the last round took place in Rouen between third ranked Charleville-Mezieres (11-9) and thirteenth ranked SPO Rouen (9-11) on Friday night. Charleville-Mezieres was edged by SPO Rouen in a tough game on the road 84-85. Charleville-Mezieres was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 14-point lead after three quarters before a 29-14 charge of SPO Rouen, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 21 Charleville-Mezieres turnovers. American guard James Woodard (191-94, college: Tulsa) saved the victory by scoring 28 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Gaylor Curier (197-92) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Jordan Fouse (201-94, college: Green Bay, agency: Three Eye Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for Charleville-Mezieres. Charleville-Mezieres' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SPO Rouen have a solid three-game winning streak. Saint Chamond's coach Alain Thinet felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds by Laurence Ekperigin did not help to save the game for Nantes. Saint Chamond have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Nantes lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Evreux and Boulazac. Saint Chamond will meet at home higher ranked Boulazac Basket (#8) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Nantes will play against Poitiers and hope to secure a win.
Another upset was a game between Lille Metropole (11-9) and Boulazac Basket (10-10), which took place in Lille. Higher ranked Lille Metropole lost at home to ninth ranked Boulazac Basket 70-84. The best player for the winners was Jarvis Williams who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Boulazac Basket's coach Antoine Michon allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Boulazac Basket moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Nantes and Evreux. Lille Metropole at the other side dropped to the third position with nine games lost. Boulazac Basket's next round opponent will be Saint Chamond (#14) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Lille Metropole will play against the league's leader JL Bourg (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
The game between eleventh ranked ALM Evreux (10-10) and 16th ranked Saint-Quentin (8-12) in Evreux on Friday ended with biggest points difference. ALM Evreux outscored guests from Saint-Quentin 99-66. Corin Henry orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. ALM Evreux moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Nantes and Boulazac. Loser Saint-Quentin dropped to the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. ALM Evreux will face higher ranked STB Le Havre (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saint-Quentin will play against Aix-Maurienne (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 20: Bourg beat Roanne on the road 76-70. Maurienne lost to Le Havre on its own court 84-88. Vichy Clermont unfortunately lost to Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer 63-80. Poitiers recorded a loss to Blois at home 62-73.

Boulogne - Denain 48-47

Bottom-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they edged tenth-ranked Denain Voltaire in Boulogne-sur-Mer 48-47. Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) replied with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Arthur Rozenfeld (178-95) added 18 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in the effort for Chorale de Roanne. Very predictable result when second ranked Provence Basket (15-5) won against bottom-ranked JA Vichy (8-12) in Fos-sur-Mer 80-63 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Provence Basket. JA Vichy was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Provence Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to JA Vichy's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (198-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 7 assists. Another upset was a game between Lille Metropole (11-9) and Boulazac Basket (10-10), which took place in Lille. Higher ranked Lille Metropole lost at home to ninth ranked Boulazac Basket 70-84. It looked good early as Lille Metropole took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Boulazac Basket had a 23-12 second period charge getting the lead and Lille Metropole was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-84. Boulazac Basket made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St.) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Nigerian Chamberlain Oguchi (196-86, college: Illinois St.) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Boulazac Basket's coach Antoine Michon allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) produced 16 points and Paul-Lou Duwiquet (195-95) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Boulazac Basket moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Nantes and Evreux. Lille Metropole at the other side dropped to the third position with nine games lost.
