The game between third ranked Lille Metropole (15-10) and eighteenth ranked JA Vichy (9-16) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Lille Metropole was edged by JA Vichy in a tough game in Vichy 67-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Lille Metropole. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 38-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Point guard Carl Ona-Embo (185-89, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 23 points for the winners. Power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. JA Vichy's coach Stephane Dao used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Thomas Ceci-Diop (199-92) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. JA Vichy moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Boulogne. Lille Metropole at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. JA Vichy is looking forward to face SO Maritime Boulogne (#17) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round. Lille Metropole will play at home against Saint Chamond (#14) and is hoping to win this game.
Leader JL Bourg delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Boulazac Basket (13-12) 78-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boulazac Basket. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Youssou Ndoye contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. American power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St.) answered with 11 points for Boulazac Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JL Bourg maintains first place with 18-7 record. Boulazac Basket at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Evreux and Poitiers. JL Bourg will play against Charleville-Mezieres (#5) on the road in the next round. Boulazac Basket will play against STB Le Havre and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Blois between ALM Evreux and ADA Blois. Tenth ranked ALM Evreux (13-12) got a very close victory on the road over 4th placed ADA Blois (14-11). ALM Evreux managed to escape with a 2-point win 76-74 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ADA Blois. Caleb Walker stepped up and scored 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Frank Turner responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds. ALM Evreux moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Poitiers and Boulazac. Loser ADA Blois keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Le Havre and Charleville. ALM Evreux will meet at home Nantes (#10) in the next round. ADA Blois will play against the league's second-placed Provence Basket (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.

Other games of round 25 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Rouen was defeated by Le Havre in a road game 79-69. St Chamond was beaten by Denain at home 69-75. St Quentin lost to Provence Basket on the opponent's court 76-89. Poitiers managed to outperform Roanne in a home game 85-68. Charleville managed to beat Nantes on the road 79-68. Maurienne defeated Boulogne on its own court 90-76.

Le Havre - Rouen 79-69

There was no surprise when 12th ranked SPO Rouen (11-14) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked STB Le Havre (14-11) 79-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by STB Le Havre. SPO Rouen managed to win second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. STB Le Havre outrebounded SPO Rouen 40-27 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) stepped up and scored 17 points and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Josh Greene (183-92, college: CS Northridge) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. STB Le Havre's coach Jean Manuel Sousa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard James Woodard (191-94, college: Tulsa) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Four SPO Rouen players scored in double figures. STB Le Havre have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Blois and Charleville. Loser SPO Rouen keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. They share it with St Quentin. STB Le Havre will meet at home Boulazac Basket (#7) in the next round. SPO Rouen will play against Chorale de Roanne (#15) and hope to secure a win.

Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. American power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St.) answered with 11 points and Jerome Sanchez (197-90) added 14 points in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JL Bourg maintains first place with 18-7 record. Boulazac Basket at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Evreux and Poitiers. JL Bourg will play against Charleville-Mezieres (#5) on the road in the next round. Boulazac Basket will play against STB Le Havre and hopes to get back on the winning track.
