Clark
25-year old swingman Cameron Clark (201-G/F-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Chalon and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26.
He had the game-high 32 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for Chalon in his team's victory, helping them to crush Chalons-Reims (#13, 9-17) with 18-point margin 104-86. Chalon maintains the 2nd position in French league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Chalon will need more victories to improve their 19-7 record. In the team's last game Clark had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Chalon's top player in his first season with the team. The University of Oklahoma graduate has very impressive stats this year. Clark is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.5ppg. Clark is in league's top in and averages solid 56.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was DaShaun Wood (185-PG-85, agency: Inception Sports) of Limoges. He is American guard in his first season at Limoges. In the last game Wood recorded impressive 24 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course he led Limoges to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Nancy (#18, 6-20) 95-74. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Limoges keeps 10th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-14 record. Wood is a newcomer at Limoges and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Justin Cobbs (191-G-91, agency: Pensack Sports) of Gravelines (#7). Cobbs scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds. He was a key player of Gravelines, leading his team to a 75-72 win against the lower-ranked Le Mans (#11, 11-15). Gravelines needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 11 lost games. Cobbs has a great season in France. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.0ppg (3rd best) and assists with 5.8apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Niklas Caner-Medley (203-F-83) of Monaco - 28 points and 3 rebounds
5. Jerry Boutsiele (207-C-92) of Cholet - 20 points and 9 rebounds
6. Axel Bouteille (201-G/F-95) of Chalon - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Zack Wright (191-G-85) of Monaco - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Vitalis Chikoko (207-F/C-91) of Pau-Lacq-Orthez - 18 points and 9 rebounds
9. Ryan Evans (203-G/F-90) of Hyeres-Toulon - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jeremy Leloup (202-F-87) of Strasbourg - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Unicaja may land Leo Westermann - 13 hours ago
Unicaja Malaga (Liga Endesa) is close to add to their roster 25-year old French guard Leo Westermann (197-86kg-92, agency: BeoBasket) who currently plays atB.C. Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania. Tariq Kirksay selected the top French playing abroad in last week's games - 23 hours ago
Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of French who are currently playing abroad. This week's number one is an experienced former international forward Tariq Kirksay (199-79, agency: Octagon Europe). He could not help one of league's weakest teams CB Canarias (22-10) in their last game. Despite Kirksay's very good performance CB Canarias lost 65-79 on the road to the higher-ranked (#4) Unicaja Malaga.    [read more]
