Zurab Sakandelidze and Mikheil Korkiya are the most titled Georgian basketball players. Sakandelidze as the member of Soviet Union's National Basketball team won four European Championships (1965, 1967, 1969, 1971). In 1967 became the Champion of the World and in 1968 Mexico Olympic Games got a bronze medal. Korkiya became the Champion of Europe (1971). Got a bronze medal on the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 . Despite of advantages in 14 points, the match was very hard and champion won only in O.T.

In the equal game GSAU made a run 20:8 in the third quarter and then won the match easy. Six players of GSAU scored more then 10 points.
Avia - MIA 83:90
MIA won the match due to long bench. Davit Berishvili and Giorgi Nikoladze scored 31 and 26 points respectively for MIA and 223 cm. giant Sergo Atuashvili scored 25 points with 13 rebounds for Avia.
TSU - Dinamo 116:78
There was no surprise. The winner was known beforehand. Six players from TSU and four players from Dinamo scored more then 10 points. Davit Berishvili (181-G-78)

It was an easy win for champions. Zviad Babiashvili scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for Energy. Davit Enukidze finished with 18 points and 5 rebounds for visitors.

Merab Bokolishvili's 30 points didn't help youth team in the game with GSAU-2008-09 championship silver medal wining team. In GSAU best players were Beka Tsivtsivadze 18 points, 12 rebounds, 7

Dinamo-Batumi 79:92 The real fight was only in the first quarter. Besik Lezhava scored most points in the first round-36
Sokhumi-Avia 82:88 Avia won very difficult match on the last minute. Sergo Atuashvili scored 22 points and 10 rebounds for Avia. Beqa Chikviladze scored 28 for Sokhumi. Besik Lezhava (193-G-86)
