Georgian center Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212-C/F-83) signed 3-month deal with Spanish team Alta Gestion Fuenlabrada. It means that Tskitishvili returned to ACB after one season in Italian Teramo. Georgian giant appeared 27 times for Siviglia Wear Teramo in Serie A averaging 10.7 ppg and 4.6 rpg. In Fuenlabrada he supposes to replace injured Rafael Vidaurreta (205-F-77, college: Wake Forest).

He played 18 games in ACB adding 6.8 ppg and 3.1 rpg. Tskitishvili is a player with NBA experience as he was a member of Phoenix, Golden State and Denver. In 05/06 he appeared in 12 regular season games for the Suns collecting 2.8 ppg and 1.7 rpg. He had very similar digits from 2003 to 2005 with Denver. In February the Nuggets decided to trade him to the Golden State. Tskitishvili was originally 5th overall pick on 2002 NBA Draft selected by Denver. His last European season, before he went overseas, was in Benetton Treviso. His team grabbed championship title that year. In the past he also played for Slovenian Geoplin Slovan and Sukhumi.

BC Sumykhimprom won the opening game of EuroChallenge Qualifying Round 1 in Tbilisi 110:81 and had 90:79 at home tonight. Corey Santee (188-G-83, college: TCU) and Brian Greene (196-G/F-84, college: Florida A&M) led the winners with 20 points each, while Vadim Matyukevych (208-C-80) posted 12. Levan Tsekvava (190-G-89) collected 20 points and 10 rebounds in defeat, whilst Zviad Babiashvili (200-F-78) produced 15 in defeat. BC Sumykhimprom wins 200-160 as a total of two games. Even though Vadim Matyukevych opened the scoring account in the game Radojicic made 3:2 for the guests. Georgian team looked even better in the first and won it 21:19. Zviad Babiashvili improved his team level to 37:32 with 2 minutes in the half. Butskyy closed the curtains at 38:39 still for the visitors. The third frame was the decisive in the game as Ukrainian team was too good for the opponent. After 22-14 in it BC Sumykhimprom enjoyed 60:53 advantage. An offensive 30:26 in the last period totaled BC Sumykhimprom for 200 in two games. Energy Invest Rustavi can be proud of the second game in Ukraine showing good basketball.

Bojan Vukadinovic (205-F-78, agency: 011 Sports) top-scored for the hosts with 23 points and Paul McPherson (193-G-78, college: De Paul) posted 18. Sumykhimprom played with the winner of the Georgian basketball. Ukrainian side however was not in the first places last season but this year already has 1-1 record. BC Sumykhimprom opened the game with 29-25 lead closing the first frame. Energy Invest Rustavi did not allow Ukrainian team to go on a big lead and stayed within some points even at the halftime. BC Sumykhimprom produced 24-21 to go to the lockers for 53:46. In the second half the picture of the game had changed especially in the last period. If in the third Energy Invest Rustavi lost 19-25, then in the last one they did not have any strength to resist. BC Sumykhimprom ended up with the massive 32-16 run and won the opener of EuroChallenge Qualifying Round 1. Game 2 is scheduled in Ukraine.
