Armia - Sokhumi 79-63 (1-0)

Armia dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Sokhumi's 38. American Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) stepped up and scored 30 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Puerto Rican Guillermo Diaz (188-85, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-85, agency: Interperformances) responded with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Levan Patsatsia (198-88, college: Troy) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five Armia and four Sokhumi players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-13. But Kutaisi won third quarter 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Montenegrin power forward Ivan Todorovic (214-84, agency: Interperformances) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and international guard Georgi Tsintsadze (192-86) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Olimpi players scored in double figures. Center Richard Matiashvili (209-89) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and forward Rezo Didia (203-87) added 15 points respectively for Kutaisi in the defeat.

The 24-year old power forward had a double-double of 22 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team edged out BC Titebi (3-2) 70-67. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Top ranked Hyundai-TSU (3-2) recorded its second loss in Tbilisi on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Tskaltubo (2-3) 80-78.
