Former international Power forward Beka Bekauri (207-PF-91) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Kutaisi and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. Superleague Round 8: Dinamo Tbilisi beats Olimpi in a derby game - 2 days ago

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#1) and Olimpi (#7). Olimpi was defeated at home 75-83 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. Sokhumi Tbilisi (Superleague) landed 27-year old Ukrainian center Oleksandr Tyshchenko (206-110kg-89). He already started the season at Kremen in Ukrainian Superleague.
