Georgia U20 - Estonia U20 75:72

Georgia accounted for the first win at the U20 European Championship. They held off Estonia in the fourth round of action in classification round Group G. Beka Burjanadze (203-F-94) scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Georgia improved at 1-3 record in the ladder. Estonia in the meantime fell at 2-2.
The teams stayed close throughout the opening quarter. The scoreboard read 17:17 at the first break. Estonia pulled in front in the second quarter. They accumulated a 36:33 halftime lead. Estonia gained a 6-point lead midway through the third quarter but Georgia managed to narrow the deficit at 2-point mark 53:55. Beka Burjanadze scored 7 points early in the fourth period as Georgia pulled ahead 60:56. Estonia drew things level at 69 with under two minutes remaining. But Beka Burjanadze and Duda Sanadze (196-G/F-92) dropped six free throws in the dying seconds to seal the victory for Georgia. Revaz Rogava (185-PG-93) notched 15 points, while Duda Sanadze added 11 points for the winners. Rannar Raap (190-G/F-92) answered with 15 points for Estonia. Oliver Metsalu (196-G-93) had 14 points in the loss.

Georgian A League round 4 best performance: Travante Williams - 2 days ago
American Forward Travante Williams (197-F-93, agency: Duran International) had a great game in the last round for Tskaltubo, receiving a A League Player of the Week award for round 4. The 23-year old player had a double-double of 48 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat SEU Tbilisi (#6, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 99-94. A League Round 4: DELTA lose their first game against BC Titebi - 3 days ago
The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss ofDELTA (3-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by BC Titebi (3-1) 67-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of DELTA. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 16-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. We bring you last week's top performances from Georgians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is former international point guard Marquez Haynes (191-86). He could not help Umana Venezia (12-7) in their last game.
