Georgia complete 4 Nations Cup 2012 with 1-2 record. The National team won the initial game and finished third. Viktor Sanikidze (203-F-86) was named the top player in the team.
In Day 1 Georgia started the Four Nations Cup in Tallinn with a convincing 91:76 victory against Estonia. Viktor Sanikidze led the winners with 20 points and 11 rebounds, Georgi Tsintsadze and Jacob Pullen (182-PG-89, college: Kansas St.) added 14 points. Janar Talts (206-C-83) was the top scorer for Estonian team with 19 points, Vene added 18 points and Reinar Hallik posted 10 points.
In Day 2 Georgia lost to East Coast All Stars 124:129. Nick Faust erupted with 35 points and Quinn Cook (183-G-93) added massive 29. Manuchar Markoishvili (195-G-86) poured in 31 points in defeat and Viktor Sanikidze added 30 points and 15 boards.
In Day 3 Czech Republic overcame Georgia 79:68. The latter started the game with 22-14, but lost the second frame 12-20. Czech Republic erupted with 27-13 in the third period and grabbed 14-point victory. Georgia replied with 21-18 in the last stanza for the final result. David Jelinek top-scored for the winners with 22 points, while Jakub Houska and Stefan Licartovsky added 10 apiece. Manuchar Markoishvili replied with 14 points, whilst Tornike Shengelia (207-F-91), Nika Metreveli and Jacob Pullen notched 12 each.   



Superleague Round 17: Olimpi beat Mgzavrebi in a derby game - 11 hours ago
The Regular Season in Superleague is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds. The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Olimpi (#7) and Mgzavrebi (#8). Mgzavrebi was defeated at home 73-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mgzavrebi. American Forward Travante Williams (197-F-93, agency: Duran International) had a great game in the last round for Tskaltubo, receiving a Eurobasket.com A League Player of the Week award for round 4. The 23-year old player had a double-double of 48 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat SEU Tbilisi (#6, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 99-94. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss ofDELTA (3-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by BC Titebi (3-1) 67-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of DELTA. It was a key game for the top position in the league.
