Georgia recorded the third straight win at the start of 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. They survived thriller against Latvia to improve at 3-0 record in Group D. Latvia slipped at 1-2 record after the loss. Jacob Pullen (183-PG-89, college: Kansas St.) became the hero of the day in Tbilisi scoring a buzzer-beating three-pointer to seal the victory for the hosts. Manuchar Markoishvili (196-SF-86) top-scored for Georgia with 19 points.
Georgia enjoyed a narrow 21:20 lead after ten minutes. Latvia surged ahead early in the second quarter. However Georgia regained control and raced to a 41:36 halftime advantage. Manuchar Markoishvili opened a double-digit lead for the hosts midway through the third term 56:46. Georgia seemed to be en route to the victory as they accumulated a 64:53 lead into the fourth frame. The margin grew at 14-point mark early in the fourth period. However Janis Strelnieks (191-PG-89) masterminded a 12:0 run from Latvia as they drew things level at 76. Mejeris had a chance to put the visitors in front but missed two free throw attempts and Jacob Pullen punished Latvia. The guard drained a last-second triple to lift Georgia to the victory. Zaza Pachulia (210-C-84) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds, while Viktor Sanikidze (203-SF-86) added 10 points in the victory. Janis Strelnieks answered with 22 points for Latvia. Kaspars Berzins (211-PF-85) had 14 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Dinamo Tbilisi - Kutaisi 70-56 Dinamo Tbilisi outscored Kutaisi to force the decisive fifth game in the series. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 38-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Dinamo Tbilisi - Kutaisi 60-94 Kutaisi regained the lead in the championship series. They stormed past Dinamo in Tbilisi to take 2-1 lead. The game without a history.
