Bosnia and Herzegovina grab important win in Tbilisi at the EuroBasket Qualification Round. The team improved to 5-2 record in Group D after 107:103 win over Georgia.
It was an offensive game in the court. Bosnia and Herzegovina started with 20-16, but lost the first half. The Georgian side needed 27-20 for 43:40 at the halftime. Manuchar Markoishvili (196-SF-86) scored for 45:42 and Viktor Sanikidze (203-SF-86) scored three for 62:58. Jacob Pullen (183-PG-89, college: Kansas St.) posted 4 in a row for 74:72 after three quarters. Bosnia and Herzegovina however erupted with 35-29 to seal the victory.
Mirza Teletovic (206-F-85, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up with 25 points for the winners and Zack Wright (188-G-85, college: Central Mo.) nailed 23. Ante Masic (200-F-85, agency: Interperformances) scored 21, while Elmedin Kikanovic (210-C-88, agency: Beo Basket) had 16. Manuchar Markoishvili top-scored for the hosts with 23 points and Zaza Pachulia (210-C-84) collected 21 points and 11 rebounds. Tornike Shengelia (203-PF-91) notched 17, Jacob Pullen had 13 and Viktor Sanikidze added 12.

Former international Power forward Beka Bekauri (207-PF-91) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Kutaisi and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The 25-year old power forward had a double-double of 23 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team beat Cactus Tbilisi (#5, 3-4) 93-82. Kutaisi maintains the 2nd position in Georgian Superleague. Superleague Round 8: Dinamo Tbilisi beats Olimpi in a derby game - 1 day ago

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#1) and Olimpi (#7). Olimpi was defeated at home 75-83 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. Sokhumi Tbilisi (Superleague) landed 27-year old Ukrainian center Oleksandr Tyshchenko (206-110kg-89). He already started the season at Kremen in Ukrainian Superleague.
