Georgia claimed the 6th win at 2013 EuroBasket Qualification. They knocked down visiting Netherlands to improve at 6-2 record on top of Group D. Netherlands suffered the sixth loss and slipped at 2-6 record. Jacob Pullen (183-PG-89, college: Kansas St.) fired 23 points to lead the hosts.
Georgia secured a 25:21 lead after ten minutes of action. They maintained the margin throughout the second quarter. Georgia knocked down 29 points in the period to build a 54:43 halftime lead. Netherlands stayed behind throughout the third frame. Georgia accounted for a 72:59 advantage at the final intermission. Netherlands got within six points late in regulation but Georgia stayed calm and finished the game on a high note. Manuchar Markoishvili (196-SF-86) and Viktor Sanikidze (203-SF-86) accounted for 22 points apiece in the victory. Robin Smeulders (207-F-87, agency: Court Side, college: Portland) replied with 22 points and 13 boards for Netherlands. Arvin Slagter (191-G-85, agency: Court Side) had 19 points in the loss.

Sokhumi Tbilisi (Superleague) landed 27-year old Ukrainian center Oleksandr Tyshchenko (206-110kg-89). He already started the season at Kremen in Ukrainian Superleague. American Forward Thomas Spagnolo (201-F-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for Rustavi, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7. The 25-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Cactus Tbilisi (#5, 3-3) 103-95. Rustavi maintains the 3rd position in Georgian Superleague. Superleague Round 7: Mgzavrebi is defeated by Sokhumi - 7 days ago

Coincidentally all visitors won their games. The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Sokhumi (#6) and Mgzavrebi (#8). Mgzavrebi was defeated at home 68-82 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Sokhumi. Mgzavrebi managed to win fourth quarter 27-20.
