Georgia claimed the 6th win at 2013 EuroBasket Qualification. They knocked down visiting Netherlands to improve at 6-2 record on top of Group D. Netherlands suffered the sixth loss and slipped at 2-6 record. Jacob Pullen (183-PG-89, college: Kansas St.) fired 23 points to lead the hosts.
Georgia secured a 25:21 lead after ten minutes of action. They maintained the margin throughout the second quarter. Georgia knocked down 29 points in the period to build a 54:43 halftime lead. Netherlands stayed behind throughout the third frame. Georgia accounted for a 72:59 advantage at the final intermission. Netherlands got within six points late in regulation but Georgia stayed calm and finished the game on a high note. Manuchar Markoishvili (196-SF-86) and Viktor Sanikidze (203-SF-86) accounted for 22 points apiece in the victory. Robin Smeulders (207-F-87, agency: Court Side, college: Portland) replied with 22 points and 13 boards for Netherlands. Arvin Slagter (191-G-85, agency: Court Side) had 19 points in the loss.

CB Cornella (EBA) tabbed 26-year old Georgian forward Davit Ioseliani (207-91). He played most recently at Mgzavrebi in Georgian Superleague, but left the team in Dec.'15. In 9 games he averaged 3.1ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.1apg in 2015-16 season. Among other achievements Ioseliani received Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League Newcomer of the Year award back in 2008. BC Cactus Tbilisi (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old American guard Chris Johnson (190-88kg-91, college: St.Catharine). He played most recently at Boca Jrs in Argentinian LigaA, but was released by the team in Nov.'16. In 9 games he recorded just 2.6ppg and 1.6rpg last season. U.D. Oliveirense (LPB) added to their roster 24-year old American forward Travante Williams (197-91kg-93, college: Alaska-Fairbanks, agency: Duran International).
