Kirk
Archibeque
American center Kirk Archibeque (205-C-84) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked MIA Academy, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat TSU Tbilisi (#7, 1-2) 82-68. It allowed MIA Academy to take over top position in the Georgian Superleague. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but MIA Academy already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Archibeque turned to be MIA Academy's top player in his first season with the team. Former Fort Lewis University star has very solid stats this year. Archibeque is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.0ppg), rebounds (4th best: 11.0rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 59.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Nate Bowie (183-G-86) of league's second-best Rustavi. Bowie had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he lead Rustavi to another comfortable win 78-64 over Dinamo Tbilisi (2-1) being unquestionably team leader. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Bowie is a newcomer at Rustavi, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 6.7rpg and 4.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-C-85, agency: Interperformances) of Olimpi (#4). Milosevic scored 10 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Olimpi, leading his team to a 94-63 easy win against Batumi (#9, 0-3). Olimpi has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Milosevic also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Milosevic has a great season in Georgia. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.5rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Levan Fatsatsia) of Olimpi - 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Sten-Timmu Sokk (181-PG-89) of Olimpi - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Milan Oluic (210-C-84) of Dinamo Tbilisi - 12 points and 10 rebounds
7. Serzhi Aselaini) of TSU Tbilisi - 13 points and 11 rebounds
8. Kyle Nelson (203-F-89) of Rustavi - 21 points and 8 rebounds

10. Buba Kvimsadze (195-G-82) of Kutaisi - 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
