Here is the weekly review of the top performing Georgian players, who play currently abroad.

Manuchar Markoishvili
Manuchar Markoishvili
#1. This week's number one is an international small forward Manuchar Markoishvili (196-86, currently plays in Italy). He was the major contributor in Cantu's victory against the 14th-ranked VL Pesaro (2-6) 76-66 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game. Markoishvili scored 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 32 minutes on the court. Mapooro Cantu (6-2) is placed fourth in the SerieA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Markoishvili's fourth year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 10.5ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 46.0%, 3FGP: 33.3% in the eight games he played so far. Markoishvili is currently a member of the Georgian senior national team.

Georgi Tsintsadze
Georgi Tsintsadze
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Georgi Tsintsadze (192-86, currently plays in Eurocup). He led his Ukrainian team Budivelnyk to a victory over the league leader Rudupis (2-1) crushing them 84-57 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. Tsintsadze was MVP of the game. He scored 16 points, grabbed 4 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 4 balls. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Budivelnyk Kyiv (1-2) is placed fourth in the Eurocup. There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Tsintsadze's first season with the team. This year Tsintsadze has relatively solid stats: 11.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.0apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 66.7%, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 75.0%. He is in the roster of the Georgian senior national team.

Zaza Pachulia
Zaza Pachulia

Pachulia contributed to an Atlanta Hawks' victory against the Orlando Magic (3-7) 81-72 in the NBA on Monday night. He scored 8 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 22 minutes. The Atlanta Hawks have 5-4 record this season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Pachulia's overall stats are: 5.9ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 51.2% and FT: 68.8% in the nine games. He is also a member of the Georgian senior national team.

Viktor Sanikidze
#4. Small forward Viktor Sanikidze (203-86, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Juvecaserta (3-5) crushing them 86-66 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Montepaschi Siena (6-2) is placed third in the SerieA. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. This season Sanikidze averages: 6.9ppg and 5.9rpg. He is also Georgian national team player.

Jacob Pullen
Jacob Pullen
#5. International point guard Jacob Pullen (185-89, college: Kansas St., currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Israel could not help one of league's weakest teams Hapoel J-M (1-2) in their last game. Despite Pullen's good performance Hapoel J-M was badly defeated 86-69 at home by the second-ranked CEZ Nymburk. He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Pullen also added 3 steals in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Pullen has reliable stats this year: 12.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.7spg in the three games. He is a naturalized American. Pullen plays currently for the Georgian national team. Strangely he has never played in Georgia.

Corey Fisher
Corey Fisher
#6. Point guard Corey Fisher (186-88, college: Villanova, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB was not able to help FIATC Joventut (4-4) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Fisher's good performance FIATC Joventut was badly defeated 80-62 on the road by the much higher-ranked Gescrap BB (#4). He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Fisher's stats this season are: 12.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.3apg. He is a naturalized American. Despite Fisher played previously for the USA university national team, he is also an international player who is currently on the senior Georgian National Team roster. Apparently Fisher has never played in Georgia.

Giorgi Shermadini
Giorgi Shermadini
#7. International center Giorgi Shermadini (216-89, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to secure a victory for Maccabi T-A (5-1) in their game against Unicaja Malaga (5-1) in the Euroleague. He cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. Shermadini scored only 2 points. The first-placed Maccabi T-A was edged 64-62 on their home court in Tel-Aviv by the second-ranked Unicaja Malaga in the group B of Euroleague. They ended the series of five consecutive victories. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Shermadini's total stats this season are: 6.0ppg and 2.8rpg. He is also Georgian national team player.

Beka Burjanadze
Beka Burjanadze
#8. Power forward Beka Burjanadze (203-94, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Cajasol (1-7) in their game against CAI Zaragoza (5-3) in the Spanish ACB. Burjanadze cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points in 9 minutes on the court. Cajasol was crushed 86-55 in Zaragoza by the much higher-ranked (#5) CAI Zaragoza. It was Cajasol's fourth consecutive loss in a row. This year Burjanadze averages just 2.4ppg in the eight games. He plays currently for the Georgian U20 national team.

The list of other players, who all have Georgian passport but never been selected to any of Georgian national teams:

#1. Quinton Hosley (201-F/G-84, college: Fresno St., currently plays in Eurocup) led his Polish team Stelmet ZG to a victory against the closely-ranked Panionios (0-3) 76-70 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Hosley scored 14 points, grabbed 6 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 3 balls. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Stelmet Zielona Gora (1-2) is placed third in the Eurocup. There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Hosley has reliable stats this season: 12.0ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.7apg and 2.0spg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Hosley has never played in Georgia.

#2. Will Thomas (203-PF-86, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to Karsiyaka's victory against one of league's weakest teams Gaziantep (1-5) 87-74 in the Turkish TBL last Saturday. He scored 10 points and blocked 2 shots in 20 minutes. Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (5-1) is placed third in the TBL. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Thomas has reliable stats this year: 11.0ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.2apg in the six games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Thomas used to play for Army Sport Klub Tbilisi in Georgian league.

#3. Melvin Sanders (196-F/G-81, college: Oklahoma St., currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in an overtime Sigma Barcellona's victory against one of league's weakest teams Aget Service IM (1-6) 91-84 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) on Sunday night.
