Hapoel Holon successfully opened Round 4 in Tbilisi in front of 5000 fans. The Israeli team overcame the home side 79:72 and improved to 3-1 record in Group H. The Georgian team lost the fourth consecutive game.
Armia heard the support of the local fans in the first period and started with 28-17 surge. They even led 8 points at the halftime but could not win the game. Hapoel Holon answered with 21-11 in the third period and took the advantage entering the final stanza. In the last period the guests produced 20-15 for the final success.
Jerome Dyson (191-G-87, college: Connecticut) top-scored for the winners with 31 points and Frank Hassell (203-F-88, college: ODU) collected 19 points and 12 rebounds. Lawrence Hill (203-F-87, college: Stanford) netted 11, while Tyler Smith (201-F-86, college: Tennessee) added 8 points and 13 boards. Curtis Millage (185-G-81, college: Arizona St.) ended up with 23 points in the losing effort and Lamayn Wilson (204-F-80, college: Troy) added 20. Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-PG-86, agency: FCM) posted 12, whilst Marcus Faison (196-G-78, college: Siena) notched 10.

30-year old guard Deonta Vaughn (185-G-86, agency: Interperformances) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Dinamo Tbilisi and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. He had the game-high 37 points adding two assists for Dinamo Tbilisi in his team's victory, helping them to beat Batumi (#4, 5-4) 97-90. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Superleague Round 9: Derby game ends with Cactus Tbilisi's defeat of Mgzavrebi - 1 day ago

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Cactus Tbilisi (#5) and Mgzavrebi (#8). Mgzavrebi was defeated at home 82-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 25-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Mgzavrebi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Dinamo Tbilisi adds Bernard to their roster - 2 days ago

Dinamo Tbilisi (Superleague) added to their roster American center Deion Bernard (206-95kg). He just graduated from Brewton-Parker (NAIA). Bernard has played there for the last three years. In 16 games he recorded 11.9ppg and 7.6rpg last season. He transferred to Brenton-Parker after one year playing for Keystone in NCAA D3.
