26-year old guard Nate Bowie (183-G-86) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Rustavi and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had the game-high 31 points adding six rebounds and five assists for Rustavi in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Armia (#4, 5-2) 79-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Rustavi to take over top position in the Georgian league. Rustavi have a solid 7-1 record. In the team's last game Bowie had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Rustavi's top player in his first season with the team. Central Arkansas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bowie is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.5ppg), assists (9th best: 3.9apg) and averages solid 2.9spg and 55.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Keyon Carter (203-F-88, agency: Two Points) of Dinamo Tbilisi. He is American forward in his first season at Dinamo Tbilisi. In the last game Carter recorded impressive double-double of 31 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for Dinamo Tbilisi to edge the lower-ranked Sokhumi (#9, 1-6) by 4 points 81-77. Dinamo Tbilisi's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Carter is a newcomer at Dinamo Tbilisi and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Stevan Milosevic (211-C-85, agency: Interperformances) of league's second-best Olimpi. Milosevic scored 18 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Olimpi, leading his team to a 71-62 win against #3 ranked MIA Academy in a game of the week. Olimpi is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 6-1 record is not that bad... Milosevic has a great season in Georgia. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.9ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 13.0rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.3bpg and FGP: 62.3%.
