Here is the weekly review of the top performing Georgian players, who play currently abroad.

Manuchar Markoishvili
Manuchar Markoishvili
#1. This week's number one is an international small forward Manuchar Markoishvili (196-86, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Italian team Cantu to a victory over the second-ranked Real Madrid (6-3) 76-70 in the Euroleague last Thursday. Markoishvili was MVP of the game. He scored 23 points, had 6 rebounds, passed 3 assists and added 2 blocks (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Mapooro Cantu (3-6) is placed sixth in group A. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. They will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Markoishvili's fourth season with the team. Markoishvili has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.8apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 31.7%, 3FGP: 41.2% and FT: 92.3%(24-26). He is currently a member of the Georgian senior national team.

Zaza Pachulia
Zaza Pachulia
#2. Second place goes to an international center Zaza Pachulia (210-84, currently plays in NBA). He contributed to an Atlanta Hawks' victory against the Denver Nuggets (11-11) 108-104 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. Pachulia scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The Atlanta Hawks have a solid 12-6 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Pachulia averages: 6.2ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 48.8% and FT: 74.4%. He is in the roster of the Georgian senior national team.

Georgi Tsintsadze
Georgi Tsintsadze
#3. The Georgian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Georgi Tsintsadze (192-86, currently plays in Ukraine). Tsintsadze contributed to Budivelnyk's victory against the 12th-ranked Dnipro (5-14) 71-66 in the Ukrainian Superleague last Sunday. He scored 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 28 minutes. Budivelnyk Kyiv (14-5) is placed second in the Superleague. This year Tsintsadze's overall stats are: 7.6ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.4apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 48.1%, 3FGP: 36.6% and FT: 78.8% in the 19 games he played so far. He is also a member of the Georgian senior national team.

Viktor Sanikidze
Viktor Sanikidze
#4. Small forward Viktor Sanikidze (203-86, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a Montepaschi Siena's victory against the 12th-ranked Vanoli Cremona (3-8) 81-68 in the Italian SerieA on Monday night. Sanikidze scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Montepaschi Siena (9-2) is placed third in the SerieA. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Sanikidze's total stats this season are: 7.0ppg and 5.8rpg. He is also Georgian national team player.

Nikoloz Tskitishvili
Nikoloz Tskitishvili
#5. International power forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Lebanon), who plays in the Lebanese Division A could not help Champville (3-3) in their last game. Despite Tskitishvili's very good performance Champville lost 73-81 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) Al Moutahed. He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 10 rebounds in 30 minutes. It was his first game for Champville this season. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Tskitishvili's first year with the team. Tskitishvili used to play for the Georgian national team last year.

Jacob Pullen
Jacob Pullen
#6. Point guard Jacob Pullen (185-89, college: Kansas St., currently plays in Israel) helped Hapoel J-M win their game against the closely-ranked Maccabi Haifa (6-3) 103-92 in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday. He scored 13 points and added 5 assists. Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem (5-4) is placed sixth in the Winner League. Pullen is currently third on the list of best passers. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.9ppg, 1.3rpg, 4.6apg and 1.1spg. Pullen is a naturalized American. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Georgian National Team roster. Strangely Pullen has never played in Georgia.

Corey Fisher
Corey Fisher
#7. International point guard Corey Fisher (186-88, college: Villanova, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB was not able to help FIATC Joventut (5-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance FIATC Joventut lost 63-78 at home to the much higher-ranked (#5) Regal FC Barcelona. Fisher was the top scorer with 15 points (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 25 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Fisher is ranked seventh on the list of the top scorers in the league with 14.7ppg. This year his other stats are: 2.7rpg and 2.5apg in the 10 games. Fisher is a naturalized American. Despite he played previously for the USA university national team, Fisher is currently in the Georgian national team roster. Apparently he has never played in Georgia.

Giorgi Shermadini
Giorgi Shermadini
#8. Center Giorgi Shermadini (216-89, currently plays in Israel) managed to help Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv in a victory against the fifth-ranked GreenTops Netanya (5-4) 89-82 in the Israeli Winner League last Monday. Shermadini scored only 2 points in 8 minutes on the court. Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv (8-1) is placed first in the Winner League. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Shermadini's total stats are: 7.5ppg and 5.0rpg in the six games. He plays currently for the Georgian national team.

Davit Maisuradze
Davit Maisuradze
#9. Former U16 international power forward Davit Maisuradze (205-90, currently plays in Ukraine) was not able to secure a victory for Kirovograd (5-9) in their game against Avantazh-Politekhnik (8-0) in the Ukrainian Higher League (second division). Maisuradze scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Kirovograd was defeated 82-74 on their home court in Kirovograd by the higher-ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik (#3). It was Kirovograd's fourth consecutive loss in a row. It's Maisuradze's first season with the team. He has averaged so far 7.6ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.4apg. Maisuradze used to play for the Georgian U16 national team six years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Georgian passport but never been selected to any of Georgian national teams:

#1. Will Thomas (203-PF-86, currently plays in EuroChallenge), who plays in Turkey could not help Karsiyaka in their last game. Despite his very good performance the first-placed Karsiyaka lost 74-80 on the road to the lower-ranked (#3) Krka in the group I of EuroChallenge. Thomas was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 34 minutes. Thomas has relatively good stats this year: 11.0ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.8apg in the six games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Thomas used to play for Army Sport Klub Tbilisi in Georgian league.

#2. Quinton Hosley (201-F/G-84, college: Fresno St., currently plays in Poland) led Stelmet ZG to a victory over the league outsider Rosa Radom (3-9) 110-92 in the Polish TBL on Saturday night. Hosley was the best player in that game. He scored 24 points and added 3 assists in 28 minutes. Stelmet Zielona Gora (7-4) is placed sixth in the TBL. Hosley is currently third on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of most steals (third place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Hosley averages: 18.5ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.8apg and 2.1spg in the 11 games. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Hosley has never played in Georgia.

#3. Melvin Sanders (196-F/G-81, college: Oklahoma St., currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Fileni BPA Jesi (3-7) 92-75 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) in Saturday night's game. Sanders recorded 8 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Sigma Barcellona (7-3) is placed fourth in the Lega2. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. It's Sanders' first year with the team. This season he has relatively solid stats: 10.1ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.9apg. Sanders is a naturalized American. Interesting that he has never played in Georgia.
