Kadaria
Vakhtang Kadaria (205-C-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for Sokhumi and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 23-year old center had a double-double of 19 points and twenty rebounds, while his team beat Samedicino (#10, 1-8) 85-71. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on the top of the standings. Sokhumi is placed at 9th position in Georgian Superleague. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Sokhumi have already lost 7 games and recorded just two victories. It's Kadaria's second year at Sokhumi and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Mineral Area CC graduate has very impressive stats this year. Kadaria is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.6rpg) and averages solid 1.7bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old international center Richard Matiashvili (207-C-89) of Kutaisi. Matiashvili impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 19 rebounds. Of course he lead Kutaisi to another comfortable win 83-69 over slightly lower-ranked TSU Tbilisi (#7, 4-6) being unquestionably team leader. Kutaisi's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Matiashvili is well-known by Kutaisi fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.4ppg (#4). He also registered 11.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was former international forward Lasha Keshelava (200-F-81) of Batumi (#8). Keshelava got into 30-points club by scoring 41 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Keshelava's great performance Batumi lost 76-99 to the higher-ranked Armia (#3, 7-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Batumi not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Keshelava could try to bring Batumi's a little bit higher in the standings. Keshelava has individually a great season in Georgia. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.0ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 10.4rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Stevan Milosevic (211-C-85) of Olimpi - 20 points and 14 rebounds
5. Irakli Chlaidze (199-F-89) of Sokhumi - 25 points
6. Curtis Millage (185-G-81) of Armia - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Flynn Clayman (206-F-88) of Dinamo Tbilisi - 27 points and 5 rebounds
8. Keyon Carter (203-F-88) of Dinamo Tbilisi - 12 points and 9 rebounds
9. Levan Fatsatsia) of Olimpi - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Davit Barbakadze (203-F-82) of Kutaisi - 20 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
