Here is the weekly review of the top performing Georgian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international small forward Viktor Sanikidze (203-86, currently plays in Euroleague). He was the major contributor in a Montepaschi Siena's victory against the sixth-ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (0-2) 98-92 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. Sanikidze scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 27 minutes on the court. Montepaschi Siena (2-0) is placed second in group F. It's Sanikidze's first season with the team. This year he averages: 5.3ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 42.9%, 3FGP: 36.4% and FT: 76.2% in the 12 games he played so far. Sanikidze is currently a member of the Georgian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Zaza Pachulia (210-84, currently plays in NBA). He led Atlanta Hawks to a victory against the New Orleans Hornets (9-25) 95-86 in the NBA on Tuesday night. Pachulia had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds in 20 minutes. The Atlanta Hawks have a solid 20-13 record this season. This year Pachulia's overall stats are: 6.2ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 49.7% and FT: 77.0% in the 33 games. He is in the roster of the Georgian senior national team.

   #3. The Georgian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international small forward Manuchar Markoishvili (196-86, currently plays in Italy). Markoishvili contributed to Cantu's victory against the closely-ranked Armani Milano (7-7) 84-76 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game. He scored 19 points. Mapooro Cantu (10-4) is placed fourth in the SerieA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Markoishvili is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Cantu's roster. Markoishvili has relatively good stats this season: 13.4ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 47.8%, 3FGP: 42.6% and FT: 91.7%(22-24). He is also a member of the Georgian senior national team.

   #4. Center Giorgi Shermadini (216-89, currently plays in Greece) managed to help Olympiacos S.F.P. Pireus to win against the league outsider Panelefsiniakos (2-9) 94-76 in the Greek A1 on Sunday night. He scored 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was his first game for Olympiacos this season. His team is placed first in the A1. So far his team won all eleven games in the Regular Season. Shermadini is also Georgian national team player.

Former international power forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Lebanon) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Amchit (8-3) 82-65 in the Lebanese Division A in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 12 rebounds. Tskitishvili also added and 3 steals in 40 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Champville (7-4) is placed fourth in the Division A. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Tskitishvili belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #4) and also on the list of best blockers (second place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Tskitishvili averages: 19.3ppg, 12.0rpg, 2.0apg, 2.8bpg and 1.2spg in the six games. He used to play for the Georgian national team two years ago.

   #6. Point guard Georgi Tsintsadze (192-86, currently plays in Eurocup) contributed to Budivelnyk's victory against the third-ranked Banvit BK (0-1) 76-69 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. Tsintsadze recorded 12 points and added 4 assists. Budivelnyk Kyiv (1-0) is placed first in group I. This season Tsintsadze has relatively solid stats: 10.6ppg, 2.9rpg, 3.4apg and 1.4spg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Georgian National Team roster.

International point guard Jacob Pullen (185-89, college: Kansas St., currently plays in Israel), who plays in the Israeli Winner League could not help Hapoel J-M (6-6) to beat Maccabi T-A (11-1). Pullen scored 8 points and added 9 passes in 31 minutes. Hapoel J-M lost 71-79 at home to the leading Maccabi T-A. Pullen is currently third on the list of best passers with 4.8apg. This year his other stats are: 13.2ppg, 1.4rpg and 1.2spg in the 12 games. Pullen is a naturalized American. He is also Georgian national team player. Strangely Pullen has never played in Georgia.

   #8. Point guard Corey Fisher (186-88, college: Villanova, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB was not able to help FIATC Joventut (7-9) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance FIATC Joventut was defeated 88-77 on the road by the leading Real Madrid. Fisher was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 3 passes. Fisher is currently ninth on the league's list of top scorers. He has very reliable stats this season: 14.3ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.5apg. Fisher is a naturalized American. Despite he played previously for the USA university national team, Fisher is currently in the Georgian national team roster. Apparently he has never played in Georgia.

International power forward Tornike Shengelia (203-91, currently plays in NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Philadelphia 76ers (15-21) crushing them 109-89 in the NBA last Tuesday. Shengelia scored only 2 points in 5 minutes on the court. The Brooklyn Nets have 20-15 record this season. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Shengelia averages just 1.2ppg in the 12 games. He is also in the roster of the Georgian national team.

Thomas scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (11-3) is placed fourth in the TBL. Thomas' overall stats this season are: 8.9ppg and 4.6rpg. He is a naturalized American. Thomas used to play for Army Sport Klub Tbilisi in Georgian league.

   #2. Quinton Hosley (201-F/G-84, college: Fresno St., currently plays in Eurocup) contributed to a Stelmet ZG's victory against the closely-ranked Cajasol (0-1) 76-67 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. Hosley recorded 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in 36 minutes. Stelmet Zielona Gora (1-0) is placed second in group K. This year Hosley has relatively solid stats: 13.0ppg, 5.4rpg, 3.7apg and 1.9spg in the seven games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Hosley has never played in Georgia.

   #3. Melvin Sanders (196-F/G-81, college: Oklahoma St., currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian Lega2 (second division) could not help Sigma Barcellona (10-4) to beat Latte BRE (7-6). He scored 5 points in 9 minutes. The league leader Sigma Barcellona was crushed 101-69 on the road by the lower-ranked (#6) Latte BRE. It was Sigma Barcellona's first loss after four consecutive victories. This year Sanders' total stats are: 9.8ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.8apg in the 13 games. He is a naturalized American. Interesting that Sanders has never played in Georgia.

Georgia Superleague round 1 best performance: Caleb Crayton - 1 day ago

American Guard Caleb Crayton (190-G-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for Mgzavrebi, receiving a Player of the Week award for round 1. The 22-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds for Mgzavrebi. In the team's last game Crayton had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. A League newcomer BC Titebi added to their roster American forward Armani Flannigan (203-93kg, college: N.Texas). He spent last season at MCO Mouloudia Oujda in Moroccan D1 league. Daniel Williams (ex Cactus Tbilisi) is a newcomer at Arak - 2 days ago

Shahrdary Arak (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American guard Daniel Williams (195-94kg-87, college: Lewis-Clark State). He played most recently at Cactus Tbilisi in Georgia Superleague. In 12 games he was third best scorer with 9.3ppg and had 3.2rpg and 3.1apg last season. Williams helped them to win the cup.
