Akaki
Dvalishvili
22-year old power forward Akaki Dvalishvili (206-PF-90) had a great game in the last round for Olimpi and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed Batumi (#9, 3-10) with 39-point margin 105-66. Olimpi maintains the 4th position in Georgian league. They are still close to the very top. Olimpi would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Dvalishvili as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Akaki Dvalishvili averages this season 10.2ppg and 6.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Deonta Vaughn (185-PG-86) of top-ranked MIA Academy. He is American guard in his first season at MIA Academy. In the last game Vaughn recorded impressive 23 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course he lead MIA Academy to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked TSU Tbilisi (#7, 5-8) 102-76. This victory allowed MIA Academy to move up to 1st position in the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 11 matches. Vaughn is a newcomer at MIA Academy and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Richard Matiashvili (207-C-89) of Kutaisi (#5). Matiashvili scored 19 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Kutaisi, leading his team to a 96-41 easy win against STU Tbilisi (#11, 0-13). Kutaisi needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 5 lost games. Matiashvili has a great season in Georgia. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.0ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 11.8rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Levan Fatsatsia) of Olimpi - 24 points and 8 rebounds
5. Konstantine Tomaradze (197-G-90) of Olimpi - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Kirk Archibeque (205-C-84) of MIA Academy - 15 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Kyle Nelson (203-F-89) of Rustavi - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Benjamin Raymond (198-G/F-87) of MIA Academy - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Giorgi Sharabidze (210-C-90) of Armia - 11 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-PG-86) of Armia - 15 points and 8 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
