Here is the weekly review of the top performing Georgian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international small forward Manuchar Markoishvili (196-86, currently plays in Turkey). He led Galatasaray to a victory over the league outsider Olin Edirne (4-15) 69-59 in the Turkish TBL last Saturday. Markoishvili was MVP of the game. He recorded 21 points. Galatasaray Medical Park Istanbul (17-3) is placed second in the TBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Markoishvili averages: 8.3ppg. He is currently a member of the Georgian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international small forward Viktor Sanikidze (203-86, currently plays in Italy). Sanikidze was the major contributor in a Montepaschi Siena's victory against the league outsider Angelico Biella (4-16) crushing them 98-75 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. He scored 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in a mere 15 minutes. Montepaschi Siena (14-6) is placed third in the SerieA. It's Sanikidze's first season with the team. This year Sanikidze's overall stats are: 7.4ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 59.4%(41-69), 3FGP: 45.8%(11-24) and FT: 67.3% in the 20 games he played so far. He is in the roster of the Georgian senior national team.

   #3. The Georgian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Georgi Tsintsadze (192-86, currently plays in Eurocup). Tsintsadze contributed to Budivelnyk's victory against the fourth-ranked Triumph Lyubertsy (2-4) 88-77 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. He scored 14 points and added 6 passes. Budivelnyk Kyiv (4-2) is placed first in group I. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game will be critical. Tsintsadze has relatively good stats this season: 10.3ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.0apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 54.9%, 3FGP: 27.8% and FT: 90.2%(37-41). He is also a member of the Georgian senior national team.

   #4. Center Zaza Pachulia (210-84, currently plays in NBA) managed to help Atlanta Hawks in a 1-point victoryagainst the Milwaukee Bucks (27-28) 103-102 in the NBA last Saturday. Pachulia scored only 3 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 20 minutes. The Atlanta Hawks have 32-23 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Pachulia's total stats are: 6.0ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.4apg in the 49 games. He is also Georgian national team player.

Former international power forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Lebanon), who plays in the Lebanese Division A could not help Champville (11-5) in their last game. Despite his good performance Champville lost 69-75 at home to the leading Sagesse. Tskitishvili had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added 5 assists and 2 blocks in 40 minutes. They ended the series of eight consecutive victories. Tskitishvili's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Tskitishvili is ranked sixth on the list of the best rebounders in the league and also on the list of best blockers (second place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Tskitishvili averages: 18.6ppg, 11.2rpg, 2.2apg, 2.7bpg and 1.1spg in the 11 games. He used to play for the Georgian national team two years ago.

   #6. Center Giorgi Shermadini (216-89, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to Olympiacos' victory against the fifth-ranked Caja Laboral (4-4) 82-74 in the Euroleague last Friday. Shermadini scored only 3 points. Olympiacos S.F.P. Pireus (5-3) is placed third in group F. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Shermadini has averaged so far 6.5ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.2bpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Georgian National Team roster.

International point guard Jacob Pullen (185-89, college: Kansas St., currently plays in Israel) contributed to a Hapoel Jerusalem's victory against the league outsider Ironi Ashkelon (5-13) 76-66 in the Israeli Winner League on Monday night. Pullen scored 7 points and added 3 passes in 23 minutes. Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem (11-7) is placed second in the Winner League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Pullen has relatively solid stats: 13.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 4.1apg and 1.1spg in the 18 games. He is a naturalized American. Pullen is also Georgian national team player. Strangely he has never played in Georgia.

Point guard Corey Fisher (186-88, college: Villanova, currently plays in Spain) helped FIATC Joventut win their game against one of league's weakest teams Assignia Manresa (4-18) 92-88 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. He recorded 5 points and added 3 passes in 17 minutes. FIATC Joventut Badalona (11-11) is placed ninth in the ACB. Fisher has reliable stats this year: 12.9ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.8apg in the 21 games. He is a naturalized American. Fisher plays currently for the Georgian national team. Apparently he has never played in Georgia.

International power forward Nika Metreveli (211-91, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) helped Omegna win their game against the 17th-ranked Mazzeo San Severo (8-16) crushing them 84-57 in the Italian Nazionale A (third division) on Saturday night. Metreveli scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Paffoni Omegna (13-9) is placed fourth in the Nazionale A. Metreveli's stats this season are: 13.6ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.3spg. He is also in the roster of the Georgian national team.

   #1. Will Thomas (203-PF-86, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Turkey) led Karsiyaka to a victory against the tenth-ranked Tofas (7-12) 87-77 in the Turkish TBL in Saturday night's game. He recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes. Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (16-3) is placed third in the TBL. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Thomas has relatively good stats this year: 11.3ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.2apg in the 19 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Thomas used to play for Army Sport Klub Tbilisi in Georgian league.

   #2. Guillermo Diaz (188-G-85, college: Miami, FL, currently plays in Liga Americas), who plays in Puerto Rico could not help Capitanes (2-1) in their last game on Friday. Despite Diaz's very good performance the first-placed Capitanes was defeated 96-92 on the road by the second-ranked Pioneros in the group C of Liga Americas. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Diaz also added 3 assists. The Regular Season already ended in the Liga Americas. This season Diaz has relatively solid stats: 14.0ppg, 2.3rpg, 4.3apg and 1.3spg.

   #3. Quinton Hosley (201-F/G-84, college: Fresno St., currently plays in Eurocup) managed to help Stelmet Zielona Gora to win against the leader Lokomotiv (5-1) 94-88 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Hosley scored only 4 points. Stelmet Zielona Gora (3-3) is placed third in group K. The Top 16 already ended in the Eurocup. Hosley has reliable stats this season: 12.0ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.3apg and 1.5spg. He is a naturalized American. Apparently Hosley has never played in Georgia.

   #4. Melvin Sanders (196-F/G-81, college: Oklahoma St., currently plays in Italy) contributed to a Sigma Barcellona's victory against the 13th-ranked FCM Ferentino (7-12) 79-71 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) last Sunday. Sanders scored only 1 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Sigma Barcellona (14-5) is placed first in the Lega2. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Sanders has averaged so far 9.2ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.4apg. He is a naturalized American. Interesting that Sanders has never played in Georgia.

Superleague Round 9: Derby game ends with Cactus Tbilisi's defeat of Mgzavrebi - 23 hours ago

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Cactus Tbilisi (#5) and Mgzavrebi (#8). Mgzavrebi was defeated at home 82-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 25-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Mgzavrebi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Dinamo Tbilisi adds Bernard to their roster - 2 days ago

Dinamo Tbilisi (Superleague) added to their roster American center Deion Bernard (206-95kg). He just graduated from Brewton-Parker (NAIA). Bernard has played there for the last three years. In 16 games he recorded 11.9ppg and 7.6rpg last season. He transferred to Brenton-Parker after one year playing for Keystone in NCAA D3. Beka Bekauri claims Georgian Superleague weekly honour - 4 days ago

Former international Power forward Beka Bekauri (207-PF-91) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Kutaisi and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The 25-year old power forward had a double-double of 23 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team beat Cactus Tbilisi (#5, 3-4) 93-82. Kutaisi maintains the 2nd position in Georgian Superleague.
