Ryan Aaron
American Guard Ryan Aaron (190-G-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked BC Titebi, receiving a Eurobasket.com A League Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, six rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Tskaltubo (#6, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 76-73. It allowed BC Titebi to take over top position in the Georgian A League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and BC Titebi won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Aaron had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be BC Titebi's top player in his first season with the team. Former Southern Nazarene University star has very solid stats this year. Aaron is in league's top in points (2nd best: 26.0ppg) and averages impressive 7.0spg and 84.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 23-year old American Travante Williams (197-F-93, agency: Duran International) of Tskaltubo. Williams had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Tskaltubo was edged by BC Titebi (1-0) 76-73. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Williams is a newcomer at Tskaltubo, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.0ppg (#1). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was South African center Christopher Gabriel (210-C-88) of Hyundai-TSU (#3). Gabriel scored 21 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Hyundai-TSU, leading his team to a 85-60 easy win against SEU Tbilisi (#5, 0-1). Hyundai-TSU has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Gabriel also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Gabriel as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader. Gabriel attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Armani Flannigan (203-F-92) of BC Titebi - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Oleksandr Rychlyuk (208-F/C-84) of Arena-76 - 8 points, 20 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Laron Griffin (205-C-89) of DELTA - 8 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Zviad Antadze (198-F-88) of DELTA - 18 points and 3 rebounds
8. Nate Drayton (203-F-91) of BC Titebi - 11 points and 12 rebounds
9. Brian Blackmon (188-PG-89) of Tskaltubo - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jamal Wilson (195-PG-90) of SEU Tbilisi - 20 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
