A League Round 3: Hyundai-TSU hand first loss to BC Titebi - Feb 10, 2017

There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of A League and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of BC Titebi (2-1) in Tbilisi on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Hyundai-TSU (2-1) 77-71. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BC Titebi won fourth quarter 24-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American point guard Christopher Anderson (170-92, college: San Diego) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 assists. point guard Sandro Sanadze (188-95) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Armani Flannigan (203-92, college: N.Texas) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds for BC Titebi. BC Titebi's coach Amrosi Ormotsadze rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hyundai-TSU is looking forward to face Arena-76 (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BC Titebi will play against DELTA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Tskaltubo. DELTA (3-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Tskaltubo (0-3) 87-85 on Tuesday evening. It was a great evening for forward Zviad Antadze (198-88, college: Monroe Coll.) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Deondre Ray helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Brian Blackmon (188-89, college: Martin Methodist) with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. DELTA will play against BC Titebi (#4) in the next round. Tskaltubo will play against SEU Tbilisi and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Tbilisi was also quite interesting. Arena-76 (2-1) played at the court of SEU Tbilisi (0-3). Arena-76 defeated SEU Tbilisi 83-70 on Thursday. SEU Tbilisi - Arena-76 70-83

The game in Tbilisi was also quite interesting. Arena-76 (2-1) played at the court of SEU Tbilisi (0-3). Arena-76 defeated SEU Tbilisi 83-70 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-70. It was an exceptional evening for forward Konstantine Bitsadze (195-97) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds. American guard Rodnerius Lewis (193-93, college: Stillman) accounted for 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American point guard Jamal Wilson (195-90, college: Rhode Island) came up with 25 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Richard Matiashvili (207-89, agency: Aspire Sports) added 4 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists respectively for SEU Tbilisi in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Arena-76 will meet at home Hyundai-TSU in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SEU Tbilisi will play against Tskaltubo and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

Important game to mention about took place in Tskaltubo. DELTA (3-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Tskaltubo (0-3) 87-85 on Tuesday evening. The guests were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 28-24 run, which allowed them to win the game.
