Here is the weekly review of the top performing Georgian players, who play currently abroad.

Michael Dixon
Michael Dixon
#1. This week's number one is an international guard Michael Dixon (186-90, agency: Diamond Sports, college: Memphis, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). He was the major contributor in an AEK Athens' victory against the fourth-ranked Juventus (8-6) crushing them 75-54 in the Basketball Champions League in Tuesday night's game. Dixon scored 14 points and added 5 passes in 24 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. AEK Athens (9-5) is placed second in group E. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Dixon's first year with the team. Dixon has relatively good stats this season: 14.9ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.7apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 56.3%(49-87), 3FGP: 44.6% and FT: 75.0% in 16 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Dixon is currently a member of the Georgian senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Georgia.

Taurean Green
Taurean Green
#2. Second place goes to former international point guard Taurean Green (183-85, college: Florida, currently plays in Israel). Green led Bnei Hasharon to a victory against the league leader Maccabi T-A (14-5) 99-92 in the Israeli Winner League on Tuesday night. He scored 21 points and added 4 passes in 26 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Bnei Hertzeliyya (12-7) is placed third in the Winner League. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Green's first season with the team. This year Green has relatively solid stats: 14.0ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.3apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 43.1%, 3FGP: 35.1% and FT: 77.6% in 19 games. He is a naturalized American. Green played for the Georgian national team in 2010. Apparently he has never played in Georgia.

Marquez Haynes
