The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets.

The most surprising game was the first loss of Dinamo Tbilisi (17-1) on the court of eighth ranked Mgzavrebi on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by Mgzavrebi 80-77. It ended at the same time the 17-game winning streak of Dinamo Tbilisi. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-77. Mgzavrebi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Corey Allen (185-92, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import center Reggie Murphy (208-91, college: Henderson St.) contributed with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Deonta Vaughn (185-86, college: Cincinnati, agency: Interperformances) replied with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for Dinamo Tbilisi. Dinamo Tbilisi's coach Irakli Khoshtaria rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mgzavrebi maintains eighth position with 4-14 record. Dinamo Tbilisi at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Mgzavrebi are looking forward to face higher ranked Energy Invest (#3) in Rustavi in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Cactus Tbilisi.
Another interesting game for Cactus Tbilisi (8-10) which played on the court of Sokhumi (7-11). Fourth ranked Cactus Tbilisi won 101-93. The former international swingman Beqa Chikviladze (196-91) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Irakli Chlaidze chipped in 29 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Otari Buliava (202-94) with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Cactus Tbilisi maintains fourth position with 8-10 record. Sokhumi lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Batumi. Cactus Tbilisi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Dinamo Tbilisi.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Energy Invest (10-8) against sixth ranked Batumi (7-11) on Wednesday night. Host Energy Invest was defeated by Batumi in a tough game in Rustavi 89-96. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Energy Invest. Besik Lezhava notched 29 points to lead the effort. Even 28 points and 6 rebounds by Revaz Chachanidze did not help to save the game for Energy Invest. Batumi moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sokhumi. Loser Energy Invest keeps the third position with eight games lost. Batumi will meet at home league's second-placed Kutaisi in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Energy Invest will play against Mgzavrebi and hope to secure a win.

Defending champion maintains second position with 13-4 record having five points less than leader Dinamo Tbilisi. Olimpi at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Kutaisi's next round opponent will be Batumi (#6) on the road. Olimpi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Sokhumi.

The most impressive performance of 18th round was 12 points and 7 rebounds by Giorgi Barbakadze of Kutaisi.

Kutaisi - Olimpi 85-74

The game between second ranked Kutaisi (13-4) and 7th ranked Olimpi (5-12) in Kutaisi ended with biggest points difference. Kutaisi beat guests from Tbilisi 85-74. Olimpi was ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 28-11 charge of Kutaisi, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Olimpi 40-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was international point guard Giorgi Tsintsadze (192-86) who scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Giorgi Barbakadze (203-91) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Five Kutaisi players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Revaz Rogava (191-93) who recorded 25 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Tre Burnette (196, college: S.Dakota) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Defending champion maintains second position with 13-4 record having five points less than leader Dinamo Tbilisi. Olimpi at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Very important is a home loss of third ranked Energy Invest (10-8) against sixth ranked Batumi (7-11) on Wednesday night. Host Energy Invest was defeated by Batumi in a tough game in Rustavi 89-96. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Energy Invest. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-15. But Energy Invest won second period 28-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Energy Invest outrebounded Batumi 36-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. International Besik Lezhava (192-86, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 29 points to lead the effort and international Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) supported him with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Even 28 points and 6 rebounds by point guard Revaz Chachanidze (183-90) did not help to save the game for Energy Invest. American point guard Charlie Lee (175-92, college: Cleveland St.) added 13 points and 5 assists. Five Batumi and four Energy Invest players scored in double figures.
