23-year old forward Travante Williams (197-F-93, agency: Duran International) had an amazing evening in the last round for Tskaltubo and receives a Eurobasket.com A League Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 50 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out BC Titebi (3-3) 99-96. Tskaltubo is placed at 4th position in Georgian A League. Tskaltubo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Tskaltubo's top player in his first season with the team. Alaska-Fairbanks graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is league's best scorer averaging so far 33.8ppg. Williams is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 8.8rpg) and averages solid 3.3spg,56.5% FGP and 45.5% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Christopher Gabriel (210-C-88) of league's second-best Hyundai-TSU. He is South African center in his first season at Hyundai-TSU. In the last game Gabriel recorded impressive double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Hyundai-TSU to another comfortable win outscoring SEU Tbilisi (#6, 0-6) 85-60. Hyundai-TSU's second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Gabriel is one of the most experienced players at Hyundai-TSU and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.8ppg (#9). He also registered 10.0 boards per game. Former University of San Diego star Gabriel is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to another Tskaltubo's star - center Dmitry Sviridov (212-C-85). Sviridov scored 20 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was another key player of Tskaltubo, helping his team with a 99-96 win against BC Titebi (3-3). Tskaltubo needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Sviridov has a great season in Georgia. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.3rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ryan Aaron (190-G-91) of BC Titebi - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Oleksandr Rychlyuk (208-F/C-84) of Arena-76 - 8 points, 20 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Nate Drayton (203-F-91) of BC Titebi - 19 points and 11 rebounds
7. Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-PG-86) of BC Titebi - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists
8. Laron Griffin (205-C-89) of DELTA - 8 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Armani Flannigan (203-F-92) of BC Titebi - 8 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Zviad Antadze (198-F-88) of DELTA - 18 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
