The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#1) and Sokhumi (#5). Dinamo Tbilisi (23-1) smashed visiting Sokhumi (9-15) by 43 points 95-52. The game without a history. Dinamo Tbilisi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Sokhumi's 32. Dinamo Tbilisi forced 19 Sokhumi turnovers and outrebounded them 42-30 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dinamo Tbilisi looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for the former international Mikheil Berishvili (204-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Oleksandr Tishchenko (205-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for Sokhumi. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dinamo Tbilisi have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-1 record. Sokhumi lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 15 games lost. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Mgzavrebi.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Tbilisi: Mgzavrebi (#8) and Olimpi (#6). Olimpi was defeated at home 70-77 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kaheem Ransom (185, college: Sam Houston St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds and Otar Pkhakadze who added 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Tre Burnette (196, college: S.Dakota) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Mgzavrebi maintains eighth position with 7-17 record. Olimpi at the other side keeps the sixth place with 15 games lost. Mgzavrebi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Dinamo Tbilisi.
An interesting game for Kutaisi (17-6) which hosted in Kutaisi one of their biggest challengers Energy Invest (13-11). Second ranked Kutaisi managed to get a 10-point victory 87-77. The winners were led by Giorgi Tsintsadze who scored that evening 28 points and 6 assists. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) by Thomas Spagnolo did not help to save the game for Energy Invest. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kutaisi have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 17-6 record having seven points less than leader Dinamo Tbilisi. Loser Energy Invest keeps the third place with 11 games lost. Kutaisi will meet Olimpi (#6) in the next round. Energy Invest will play against Batumi and hope to secure a win.
The game in Batumi was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Cactus Tbilisi (10-14) played at the court of 7th ranked Batumi (8-16). Cactus Tbilisi managed to secure a 7-point victory 92-85. The best player for the winners was Terik Bridgeman who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Cactus Tbilisi maintains fourth position with 10-14 record. Batumi at the other side keeps the seventh place with 16 games lost. Cactus Tbilisi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Sokhumi.

Kutaisi - Rustavi 87-77

An interesting game for Kutaisi (17-6) which hosted in Kutaisi one of their biggest challengers Energy Invest (13-11). Second ranked Kutaisi managed to get a 10-point victory 87-77. The game was mostly controlled by Kutaisi. Energy Invest managed to win third quarter 25-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Kutaisi won last quarter 24-16. They made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Kutaisi had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by international point guard Giorgi Tsintsadze (192-86) who scored that evening 28 points and 6 assists and forward Giorgi Barbakadze (203-91) supported him with 17 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) by American forward Thomas Spagnolo (201-91, college: Appalachian St.) did not help to save the game for Energy Invest. His fellow American import forward Maurice Lewis-Briggs (203-90, college: Slippery Rock) added 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
