Third defeat of league's leader DELTA (9-3) against second ranked Hyundai-TSU (9-3) 84-63 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of DELTA. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Hyundai-TSU. DELTA managed to win fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for point guard Sandro Sanadze (188-95) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 6 assists. South African center Christopher Gabriel (210-88, college: San Diego) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American Deondre Ray (196, college: Cameron) replied with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for DELTA. DELTA's coach Legso Lapanashvili gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Hyundai-TSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated DELTA. DELTA will play next round against Tskaltubo trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Hyundai-TSU will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked BC Titebi on the road.
Bottom-ranked SEU Tbilisi is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to fourth ranked BC Titebi (6-6) 76-65. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ryan Aaron (190-91, college: S.Nazarene) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and Armani Flannigan who added 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. BC Titebi's coach Amrosi Ormotsadze allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Davit Maisuradze (205-90) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Newly promoted BC Titebi maintains fourth position with 6-6 record. SEU Tbilisi at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. BC Titebi will play against league's leader Hyundai-TSU in Tbilisi in the next round and it may be the game of the week. SEU Tbilisi will play against Arena-76 (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

The winners were led by Rodnerius Lewis who scored that evening 26 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by Dmitry Sviridov did not help to save the game for Tskaltubo. Newly promoted Arena-76 maintains third position with 7-5 record having just two points less than leader Hyundai-TSU. Tskaltubo lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Arena-76 will meet at home bottom-ranked SEU Tbilisi (#6) in the next round. Tskaltubo will play against the league's second-placed DELTA and hope to secure a win.

SEU Tbilisi - BC Titebi 65-76

Bottom-ranked SEU Tbilisi is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to fourth ranked BC Titebi (6-6) 76-65. The game was mostly controlled by BC Titebi. SEU Tbilisi was better in second period 21-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Titebi players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by SEU Tbilisi's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ryan Aaron (190-91, college: S.Nazarene) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Armani Flannigan (203-92, college: N.Texas) who added 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. BC Titebi's coach Amrosi Ormotsadze allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Titebi will play against league's leader Hyundai-TSU in Tbilisi in the next round and it may be the game of the week. SEU Tbilisi will play against Arena-76 (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Tskaltubo - Arena-76 87-98

The game in Tskaltubo was also quite interesting. Third ranked Arena-76 (7-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Tskaltubo (5-7). Arena-76 defeated Tskaltubo 98-87 on Friday. The game without a history. Arena-76 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Tskaltubo's 42 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Arena-76 forced 22 Tskaltubo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American guard Rodnerius Lewis (193-93, college: Stillman) who scored that evening 26 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import power forward Peter Alexis (213-92, college: Philadelphia) supported him with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Four Arena-76 players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by Uzbekistani center Dmitry Sviridov (212-85) did not help to save the game for Tskaltubo. Giorgi Kutchava added 22 points and 4 assists. Newly promoted Arena-76 maintains third position with 7-5 record having just two points less than leader Hyundai-TSU.
