The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (23-2) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Mgzavrebi (8-17) 70-58. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Dinamo Tbilisi. The game was mostly controlled by Mgzavrebi. Dinamo Tbilisi managed to win second period 12-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Darnell Taylor (193-91, college: CS San Marcos) stepped up and scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center Reggie Murphy (208-91, college: Henderson St.) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side the former international Mikheil Berishvili (204-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Mgzavrebi maintains eighth place with 8-17 record. Dinamo Tbilisi at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Mgzavrebi are looking forward to face higher ranked Energy Invest (#3) in Rustavi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Cactus Tbilisi.

American center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and Terik Bridgeman accounted for 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American guard Dwayne Lathan (190-89, college: Indiana St.) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds for Sokhumi in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cactus Tbilisi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 11-14 record. Sokhumi lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Batumi. Cactus Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Dinamo Tbilisi.

Energy Invest's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Batumi moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sokhumi. Energy Invest lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with 12 games lost. Batumi will meet league's second-placed Kutaisi on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Energy Invest will play against Mgzavrebi in Tbilisi and hope to secure a win.

It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kutaisi. Worth to mention a great performance of Revaz Rogava who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists. Olimpi moved-up to fifth place. Defending champion Kutaisi keeps the second position with seven games lost. Olimpi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Sokhumi.

Dinamo Tbilisi - Mgzavrebi 58-70

It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kutaisi. It looked good early as Kutaisi took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Olimpi took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. They also forced 25 Kutaisi turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Kutaisi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
