There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in A League.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked DELTA as it allowed them to take a leadership position. DELTA smashed 5th ranked Tskaltubo at home 75-49. The game without a history. DELTA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tskaltubo to just 5 points in fourth quarter. American Deondre Ray (196, college: Cameron) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and point guard Ioseb Lezhava (185-91) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. DELTA's coach Legso Lapanashvili felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Uzbekistani center Dmitry Sviridov (212-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Tskaltubo lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Tskaltubo will play next round against SEU Tbilisi trying to get back on the winning streak. DELTA will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked BC Titebi on the road.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Hyundai-TSU (9-4) against fourth ranked BC Titebi (7-6) on Wednesday night. Visiting Hyundai-TSU was defeated by BC Titebi in 81-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hyundai-TSU. American forward Armani Flannigan (203-92, college: N.Texas) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Ryan Aaron accounted for 23 points and 9 rebounds. South African center Christopher Gabriel (210-88, college: San Diego) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for Hyundai-TSU in the defeat. BC Titebi have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted BC Titebi maintains fourth place with 7-6 record. Hyundai-TSU at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. BC Titebi will play against league's leader DELTA in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hyundai-TSU will play against Arena-76 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Peter Alexis fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winners. Coach Marco Minichi's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Davit Maisuradze produced a double-double by scoring 30 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Newly promoted Arena-76 maintains third place with 8-5 record having just two points less than leader DELTA. Loser SEU Tbilisi still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Arena-76 will meet league's second-placed Hyundai-TSU in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SEU Tbilisi will play against Tskaltubo (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

BC Titebi - Hyundai-TSU 81-65

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Hyundai-TSU (9-4) against fourth ranked BC Titebi (7-6) on Wednesday night. Visiting Hyundai-TSU was defeated by BC Titebi in 81-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hyundai-TSU. The game was mostly controlled by BC Titebi. Hyundai-TSU was better in third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Titebi players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Armani Flannigan (203-92, college: N.Texas) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Ryan Aaron (190-91, college: S.Nazarene) accounted for 23 points and 9 rebounds. South African center Christopher Gabriel (210-88, college: San Diego) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Sandro Sanadze (188-95) added 20 points (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for Hyundai-TSU in the defeat. Bottom-ranked SEU Tbilisi (0-13) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to third ranked Arena-76 (8-5) 124-77 on Wednesday evening. The game without a history. Arena-76 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to SEU Tbilisi's 46. They outrebounded SEU Tbilisi 70-41 including a 26-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Arena-76 looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Peter Alexis (213-92, college: Philadelphia) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Tato Chachibaia (201-90) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Coach Marco Minichi's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest.
