There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Superleague.

Top ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (23-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Cactus Tbilisi (12-14) 74-68. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-68. Strangely Dinamo Tbilisi outrebounded Cactus Tbilisi 51-37 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Terik Bridgeman (198, college: William Pater.) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) chipped in 12 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Levan Patsatsia (198-88, college: Troy) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the hosts. Cactus Tbilisi have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 12-14 record. Dinamo Tbilisi at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. Cactus Tbilisi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Olimpi.
Seventh-ranked Batumi (9-17) made lots of trouble for second ranked Kutaisi (18-7). Kutaisi managed to secure only two-point victory 81-79. However their fans expected much easier game. International point guard Giorgi Tsintsadze (192-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Levan Tsekvava contributed with 11 points and 4 assists for the winners. International Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) replied with 29 points and 5 rebounds for Batumi. Defending champion maintains second position with 18-7 record having six points less than leader Dinamo Tbilisi. Batumi at the other side keeps the seventh place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Mgzavrebi. Kutaisi will play against bottom-ranked Mgzavrebi (#8) in Tbilisi in the next round where they are favorite. Batumi will play at home against Sokhumi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Sokhumi (#6) and Olimpi (#5). Olimpi was defeated at home 58-68 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Otari Buliava scored 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Sokhumi's coach Nugzar Cheishvili used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Revaz Rogava responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Sokhumi (10-16) moved-up to fifth place. Loser Olimpi dropped to the sixth position with 16 games lost. Sokhumi will meet Batumi (#7) on the road in the next round. Olimpi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Cactus Tbilisi.

Mgzavrebi have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Batumi. Energy Invest lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with 13 games lost. Mgzavrebi's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kutaisi on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Energy Invest will play against the league's leader Dinamo Tbilisi and will have a slim chance for a victory.

The best stats of 26th round was 12 points and 9 rebounds by Oleksandr Tishchenko of Sokhumi.

Olimpi - Sokhumi 58-68

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Sokhumi (#6) and Olimpi (#5). Olimpi was defeated at home 58-68 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 36-21 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sokhumi outrebounded Olimpi 46-34 including 35 on the defensive glass. Otari Buliava (202-94) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Giorgi Jgerenaia (206-90, college: N.Georgia) chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Very important is a road loss of third ranked Energy Invest (13-13) against eighth ranked Mgzavrebi (9-17) on Wednesday night. Visiting Energy Invest was crushed by Mgzavrebi in Tbilisi 91-59. The game without a history. Mgzavrebi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Energy Invest to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Mgzavrebi dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Energy Invest's 34. Mgzavrebi forced 21 Energy Invest turnovers.
