Giorgi
Tsintsadze
Experienced International Point guard Giorgi Tsintsadze (192-PG-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Kutaisi and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 30-year old playmaker had the game-high 29 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Kutaisi in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Batumi (#7, 9-17) 81-79. Kutaisi maintains the 2nd position in Georgian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kutaisi will need more victories to improve their 18-7 record. In the team's last game Tsintsadze had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Kutaisi's top player in his first season with the team. Tsintsadze has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.2ppg. Tsintsadze is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 51.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old international shooting guard Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-SG-93) of Batumi. Jintcharadze impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Batumi was edged by the higher-ranked Kutaisi (#2, 18-7) 81-79. Batumi managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-17 record. Jintcharadze is a newcomer at Batumi and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.1ppg (#6). He also registered 6.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Corey Allen (185-PG-92) of Mgzavrebi (#8). Allen scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Mgzavrebi, leading his team to a 91-59 easy win against the higher-ranked Rustavi (#3, 13-13). The chances of Mgzavrebi not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 17 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Allen could try to bring Mgzavrebi's a little bit higher in the standings. Allen has individually a great season in Georgia. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.5ppg (2nd best). He also has 3.3spg and FGP: 57.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Otar Pkhakadze (188-PG-93) of Mgzavrebi - 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Darnell Taylor (193-G-91) of Mgzavrebi - 16 points and 10 rebounds
6. Levan Patsatsia (198-SF-88) of Dinamo Tbilisi - 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists
7. John Florveus (211-C-90) of Cactus Tbilisi - 12 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Oleksandr Tishchenko (205-F/C-89) of Sokhumi - 12 points and 9 rebounds
9. Terik Bridgeman (198-G) of Cactus Tbilisi - 17 points and 9 rebounds
10. Otari Buliava (202-PF-94) of Sokhumi - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
