Vechta - Duesseldorf 84-78 (2-0)

Vechta triumphs at ProA Finals. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 30-16. But Duesseldorf Baskets won second period 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SC Rasta Vechta forced 21 Duesseldorf Baskets turnovers. The best player for the winners was American swingman Corey Hassan (193-87, college: Sacred Heart) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Dirk Madrich (211-83) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Greek-Australian guard Triantafillos Tzakopoulos (187-85) produced 15 points and 8 assists and American point guard Gary Johnson (188-82, college: Cent.Florida) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five SC Rasta Vechta and four Duesseldorf Baskets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
