Mitteldeutscher BC lift ProA trophy - May 8, 2017

    MBC - Oettinger R. 84-62

MBC are crowned ProA champions. They rolled past Oettinger Rockets in Game 2 of the title series to complete the sweep. Mitteldeutscher BC dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Oettinger Rockets Gotha's 22. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mitteldeutscher BC made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Andrew Warren (196-87, college: Bradley, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Center Robert Oehle (209-88, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and Estonian guard Kristian Kullamae (190-99) added 15 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
