The BEKO BBL have recieved many nice surprises this summer with ex players returning as well as fan favorites remaining and one of those players with the biggest and friendlist smiles will remain in Germany with Michael Jordan (183-G-77, college: Pennsylvania) who will play for the MBC Wolves this season. This will be his 7th season in Germany. The club has not announced it yet, but Jordan has reported on his facebook page that he will play in Weissenfels this season. Jordan will join a back court with talented Serb Radenko Pilcevic. Last season, Jordan came late to Phoenix Hagen playing 16 games: 8.9ppg, 2.3rpg, Assists-5 (5.3apg), FGP: 44.2%, 3PT: 32.5%, FT: 73.3%.
Jordan played at Pennsylvania. He played most of his professional basketball career in Germany. He started at TSV Quackenbruck in 2002-2003 playing 30 games and averaging 21.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 6.9 apg and helping the club reach the BEKO BBL. He played with The Artland Dragons from 2003-2005 helpingv the team reach the playoffs in their second season. In 2005-2006, he won the German championship with Rhein Energie Cologne playing 33 games: 9.8ppg, 2.3rpg, Assists-4 (4.1apg), 1.0spg, 2FGP: 45.3%, 3PT: 40.3%, FT: 52.2%; FIBA Europe Cup: 6 games: 15.2ppg, 3.3rpg, 5.0apg, 1.0spg, 2FGP: 63.6%, 3FGP: 40%, FT: 84%. In 2006-2007, he got experience playing in Italy for 37 games: 13.8ppg, 2.7rpg, Assists-1 (5.2apg), 2.0spg, 2FGP: 54.6%, 3PT: 36.1%, FT: 74.0%. In 2007-2008, he played in Belgium and Greece for TEC Spirou Charleroi (Belgium-D1): Belgian League: 15 games: 9.5ppg, 1.6rpg, 3.6apg, 1.0spg, 2FGP: 56.0%, 3PT: 36.0%, FT: 90.0%; ULEB Cup: 6 games: 5.0ppg, 1.0rpg, 2.7apg, in March '08 moved to PAOK Marfin Thessaloniki (Greece-A1, starting five): 5 games: 7.4ppg, 2.2rpg, 3.6apg, 1.4spg. In 2008-2009, he returned to Germany and played for Brose Baskets Bamberg (Germany-1.Bundesliga): German League: 10 games: 6.3ppg, 1.1rpg, 3.5apg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 39.3%, FT: 88.9%; Eurocup: 6 games: 2.8ppg, 1.0rpg, 3.0apg, in Jan.'09 signed at Koeln 99ers (Germany-1.Bundesliga, starting five): 17 games: 10.5ppg, 2.4rpg, Assists-1 (6.2apg), Steals-5 (1.5spg), FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 26.0%, FT: 85.4%.

The club finished last season in 4th place with a record of 16-16 and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Antwerpen. Losing Copeland would be a big loss for The Beko BBL as he was a marque player and second leading scorer in the league last season playing 33 games: Score-2 (16.8ppg), 4.6rpg, 1.8apg, FGP: 55.9%, 3PT: 35.9%, FT: 76.0%. In his first season in the BEKO BBL in 2008-2009, he played 34 games averaging 13.2ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.3apg, 1.2spg, FGP: 56.9%, 3PT: 35.6%, FT: 74.8%. A decison about wheather he will play in Belgium or not should come at the end of the week. Belgium has been a popular league for ex BEKO BBL players as guys like Tim Black, Michael Jordan, and Brandon Gay have come to Belgium to play in the last years.
