I am getting treatment every day. I hope that I can play Saturday.

Were you surprised that it took so long for you to get a job?

I knew that the market was tough and many teams were waiting for the World Championships in Turkey to en. I had some teams that were interested, but was happy that Frankfurt called me.

You have a short term contract. Do you feel a lot of pressure having to perform?

This is not an easy situation for me or anyone else who has a short term contract. You are watched very closely. I finally broke out against Bremerhaven and I just played my game. We are professionals and just have to overcome the pressure and perform.

The Deutsche Bank Skyliners could be 5-0 instead of 3-2 losing two tough games on the road against 0ldenburg and Bamberg. What makes the team so strong at the moment?

I have only been here one month, but there is so much unity here with the players, coaches and whole organization. The players all trust each other and understand each other. The fans have also been great and were a big reason why we won against Braunschweig.

What can the Deutsche Bank Skyliners still improve?

We can all score and spread the floor, but we can improve team defense. We have good individual defenders, but once we all get on the same page, we will be hard to beat.

What is a strength in your game that isnt always noticed right away?

I am considered a pretty good post defender and good shooter, but havent really shown it yet, but hope to soon.

How do you like Frankfurt?

I love Frankfurt. It is my favorite city in Europe. There are diverse people here and I have met many friendly people in Frankfurt.

You grew up in Edmonton, Canada which is Wayne Gretzky country. How did you come to play basketball in a country that loves ice hockey?

I actually started playing soccer and played it for seven years. Then I got to tall and played basketball. I never got into playing hockey for some reason. I was living in an area where basketball was being played. I belonged to a few outcasts that played basketball. Now there are more playing basketball.

Who was your NBA idol growing up?

I loved to watch Michael Jordan and see how he created team unity and his leadership.

To what NBA player would you compare your game to?

I have played the position three in the past and now the position four. I like to watch the game of Paul Pierce. He is a big guard with a good post up game. I like to emulate my game after his.

What is your relationship to Jamaica? You got the citizenship in 2007.

I was born in Canada, but my whole family comes from Jamaica. They moved to Canada.

You played at Richmond from 2002-2006. what was your nicest memory from those days?

Just playing with great guys and having great coaches. I also remember reaching the NCAA tournament and what it took to get there.

You played four seasons in France. Was it the language that kept you there so long?

Well the language was a reason too. I grew up with French in Canada and knew a little and learned the language in France. My game kept developing in France and I got more and more comfortable to the style so kept staying.

How would you compare the French PR0 B to the BEK0 BBL?

The PR0 B is very athletic and similar to Germany. There are many young talented French players, but the BEK0 BBL is more competitive.

You are a member of the Canadian national team. How is the development of Canadian basketball coming along?

I think that it is developing well. We knocked off the Dominican republic last year to qualify for the 2010 World Championships. We didnt have many NBA players in turkey. We lost many close games, but we had a young team and I think we will get better in the next years.

You lost to Spain at the World Championships in Spain. Are you as a player able to learn from Spain in a game like that?

Spain play at a high level and together. When you are on the floor, you are forced to learn. They had great composure. Even when we were leading, it felt like they were leading. Jorge Garbajosa holds the team together. He is a great shooter and passer and glue to that team.

Who wins a one on one, you or Famutimi of the Gloria Giants Duesseldorf?

I would take it. We know each other since we are kids. We play all the time an dit goes back and fourth.

Who wins a one on one, you or AJ Moye?

We havent played yet. It would be very competitive game. It would be a battle.

What were the most free throws that you made in a row?

I made 70 in a row in Frankfurt in practice.

What was your most crazy shot that you ever made in a game?

My second year in France, I made a buzzer beater getting a loose ball at half court spinning around and making the shot.

What was the last DVD movie that you saw?

The Blind Side.

Thanks Jermaine for the chat.
