PRO B team BSV Wulfen have signed their first import player of the new season with Antonio Houston (196-G/F-88, college: Catawba) who follows his head coach Heimo Forster from Regionaliga team New Energie Elephants Grevenbroich. Houston is a 21 year old 196cm swing man from Charlotte, North Carolina. Last season, he showed that he has the talent to make the next step as he played for New Energie Elephants Grevenbroich (Germany-Regionalliga): 23 games: 22.5ppg, 7.5rpg, 3.3apg, 1.6spg, 1.0bpg, FGP: 54.1%, 3Pts: 29.8%, FT: 71.7%. "I am looking forward to having Antonio Houston (196-G/F-88, college: Catawba) on te team. He is a team player that makes every player better with his play. He has a good shot, can penetrate and is a good rebounder for a small forward, but can play guard also", stressed Heimo Forster. Houston started his basketball career at Catawba (NCAA2) in 2006 where he played until 2010. As a rookie in 2010-2011, he gained first professional experience with UMFN Njardvik (Iceland-Express League, starting five): 3 games: 18.7ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.7apg, 1.0spg; left in Oct.'10, then moved to Armann/Prottur (Iceland-D1, starting five): 4 games: 29.3ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.0apg, 3.3spg. The BBL champions have already started building the roster for the next season. They agreed on terms of contract with Jamar Smith (191-G-87, agency: KMG Sports Management, college: S.Indiana).
