SV Halle Lions keep Julia Kohlmann (172-SG-92) for another three seasons. The player signed with the team a 3-year extension.
In 2009-2010 she appeared for SV Halle Lions (DBBL) and averaged 2.8ppg. In 2010-2011 her stats read 2.0ppg. Last season she had 4.3ppg in 29 games.
Julia Kohlmann is also a German U18 National Team member -09-10. At the European Championships U18 Division B for Women in Timisoara (Romania) she had 4.7ppg, 1.1rpg, 2.1apg. Later she became German U20 National Team -11-12 and at the European Championships U20 in Serbia -11 showed 3.6ppg.
Together with SV Halle Lions last year she became German DBBL Finalist -12.
Earlier the team announced Daphanie Kennedy (175-PG-86, college: Pepperdine), Michaela Abelova (183-G-85) and Tamara Tatham (185-F-85, college: Massachusetts). Moreover two German players also will stay in the team: Christina Schnorr (187-F/C-92) and Julia Gaudermann (166-PG-92).

Wasserburg bolstered their roster. They agreed on terms of contract with Melissa Jeltema (175-G-88, college: Oakland). The US guard spent the last season in Finland. She played for Honka Espoo. Melissa Jeltema became SM-sarja topscorer. The guard averaged 24.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.4 steals, 1.6 assists and 1.0 block per game. Melissa Jeltema made it into All-Finnish League 1st Team. France U16 - Germany U16 71:66 (OT) French U16 National Team celebrated the third consecutive victory over their German counterparts in the exhibition series in Mulhouse. This time the victory came in overtime. Germany put up a fierce fight but the hosts snatched a tough win at the end. Maeva Djalbi knocked down 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to pace the winners. French and German U16 National Teams played the second exhibition encounter in Mulhouse. The hosts followed the initial (74:57) success with another convincing victory. France earned a 60:47 victory to take 2-0 lead in the three-game series. The teams will meet again tonight. Amandine Toi stepped up with 12 points to lead the winners.
