TV Saarlouis Royals announced Merideth Marsh (169-PG-88, college: Vanderbilt) and Colleen Planeta (188-F-88, college: Point Loma) for the upcoming season.
TV Saarlouis Royals (2.Bundesliga) signed 24-year old American point guard Merideth Marsh. She played most recently at Cod.Carmelitas in Spanish LF2 league. Marsh missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2010 and actually missed last season. It will be her third season in pro basketball.
Colleen Planeta started her career in 2008-2009 for Point Loma (NAIA, starting five) and then in 2010-2011 moved to Barcelos-MendanhaSousa (Portugal-Liga Feminina, starting five). In 11 games her stats read 21.4ppg, 12.0rpg, 1.5apg, 2.2spg, 3.5bpg, FGP: 42.0%, 3PT: 35.9%, FT: 72.1%. The last season she sepnt with DAS Ano Liosa (Greece-A1, starting five). Planeta became the third top-scorer with 20.3ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.0spg, Blocks-1 (1.9bpg), FGP: 49.3%, 3PT: 22.2%, FT: 78.3%.
The team also announced keeping Levke Brodersen (168-G-94), Laura Rahn (181-F-86), Jamailah Adams (180-G/F-93), Leonie Edringer (182-F-95).

We bring you last week's top performances from Germans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an international forward Romy Baer (187-87). She could not help Nice (7-7) in their last game. Despite Baer's very good performance Nice was edged 77-75 at home by the lower-ranked (#9) Hainaut.    [read more]

Power forward Svenja Greunke (188-F/C-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Marburg and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13. The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 23 points and twelve rebounds, while her team beat Hannover (#6, 6-7) 75-69. Marburg maintains the 4th position in German DBBL.
