ETB Wohnbau Baskets Essen (ProA) agreed terms with 29-year old American guard Aaron Cook (186-83, college: Hartford, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management). Cook played last season at Crailsheim Merlins (ProA). In 21 ProA games he had 11.7ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.6apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Cook also played at Mitteldeutscher BC Weissenfels that season. In 3 ProA games he recorded 5.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.3apg and 1.0spg. Cook is quite experienced player. He played previously in Sweden (Gothia Basket) and USA (Butte Daredevils and Vermont Frost Heaves). Cook graduated from University of Hartford in 2006 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.

He will be a Beko BBL rookie as he played at Drake from 2009-2013 and in his senior year played 32 games: 14.1ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.8apg, FGP: 48.1%, 3PT: 40.0%, FT: 88.0%. Simons played together with current Tiger Josh Young at Drake. Simons played a total of 123 NCAA games. "He had 2 very good years at Drake. He can shoot very well, can pass, can create for his teammates and has a high basketball IQ. We have him planned for the positions 2-3, because of his size and athletic ability. He has to work hard to play at teh Beko BBL level", stressed Igor Perovic.

Telekom Baskets: took 1st place (4-2) in Group H of the Regular Season, took
2nd place (4-2) in Group L of the Top16, lost to Krasnye Krylia (RUS) 0-2 in the
Quarterfinals !!!
