The return of the 25 year old from their time abroad in Switzerland was planned for October. But now Katharina Schnitzler (173-G-87, college: La-Monroe) - not in game shape - is back already for the season opener on saturday there again.
She played the last preseason game, which was a 57:56 (34:22) win against TG Sandhausen. ASC Mainz Coach Schoch however was not satisfied with the game. In particular, the rebounding was realy bad, Coach Schoch complained about not boxing out. There were a lot of good 15 second sequences on defense, but still to much careless mistakes. Caoch Schoch plans to cut them down to have better chances through the league games.

In 2012-2013 for TSV 1880 Wasserburg (Germany-DBBL, starting five) Emma Cannon became the top-corer of the League with 20.7ppg, Reb-1 (14.6rpg), 2.2apg, 1.1spg, FGP-2 (58.0%), FT: 71.9%. In EuroCup her stats read 11.2ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.7apg, FGP: 53.2%, FT: 60.7%. Earlier she played for Rochester, NY (School of the Arts) and Cent.Florida. In 2011-2012 appeared for Osnabruck (DBBL, starting five) and also became the top-scorer with 22.6ppg, Reb-1 (13.8rpg), FGP: 50.1%, 3PT: 23.5%, FT: 72.6%.

Heli Girls Noerdlingen Donau-Ries signed 25-year old American guard Vanessa House (170-G-88, college: W.Virginia). Last season she played for BG 89 Avides in DBBL. House helped her team get promotion to DBBL. In 20 Bundesliga games she had very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.4apg (top 5) and 1.9spg this season. In 35 games she was second best scorer with remarkable 17.5ppg and averaged 6.0rpg, 4.3apg (leader !!!) and 2.5spg (in top 2). She contributed to her team making it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Finnish League Guard of the Year, Import of the Year and named to 1st Team. House played in the final of Big East Conference Tournament in 2010. She graduated from West Virginia University in 2011 and it is her second season as a professional player.
