The last months havent been easy for the Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg as they have been in the basketball news in Germany in volved with the controversal rleease of Jerry Green as well as Kurt Looby (208-F/C-84, college: Iowa) who has left for Puerto Rico without permission from the team. The Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg have put an end to the Kurt Looby affair by making it official today that he has been cleared to move to Poland to play for Trefl Sopot. The Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg had previously rejected giving Looby clearance to sign with a new team, because there still seemed to be claims for the Schwaben team. FIBA also didnt give clearance after testing the facts. After settling the payment with the Neckar Riesen and new team Trefl Sopot in a professional way, the matter now has been settled. Looby last season played 34 games averaging 7.0ppg, 5.3rpg, Blocks-4 (1.6bpg), FGP-1 (68.3%), FT: 63.7%.
