Dynamo-GUVD made it look easy as they coasted past Wasserburg in Germany today. The victory propelled the Russian team at 2-1 record in EuroCup Group D. Yvonne Turner (174-G-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: Nebraska) notched 21 points to pace the visitors.
Dynamo-GUVD set the tone early in the encounter. They grabbed a 19:15 lead at the first intermission. Dynamo-GUVD stayed solid defensively in the second quarter. They built a 34:23 halftime advantage. Wasserburg used an 8:2 run late in the third quarter to cut the margin at 4-point mark 44:48. However Yvonne Turner and Sidney Spencer (191-PF-85, agency: LBM Management, college: Tennessee) capped the period with four points as Dynamo posted a 52:44 lead at the final break. Stina Barnert (174-G-89) dragged the hosts within 6 points 51:57 but Dynamo-GUVD triggered a 7:2 run to stay comfortably in front. They never looked back afterwards and cruised to the victory. Ksenia Kolosovskaia (18-G-82) provided 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Sidney Spencer added 16 points in the win. Stina Barnert reacted with 19 points for Wasserburg. Emma Cannon (188-F-89, college: Cent.Florida) netted 11 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.
